Take away TX fees and site fees and they never lost a penny from the “loan” because they loaned it to themselves and made the borrower account look good for repaying with their own money.

that is why we have to choose only for those sites which have more trust and which will be around us from a longer time and we do not have to trust on new sites and on those people who will not have any trust.

Lol I think someone did not want to just lend bitcoin without any profit, I can accept all fees but certainly I would expect the existing interest

All that do lend here the main interest wont never be get or sold the colateral, because usually those colateral are bitcointalk accounts, sure the lenders recover the ammount lended, or should recovery doing such, i dont understan some loans requests of 3-10 dollars, makes no sense at all ask for such ammount but well people dump their accounts doing those.

In other words the collateral is so weak, and with that it would not promote our site for the better use as with accounts transferring to another users which would most likely would start a scam here. Further, with bitcointalk accounts you cannot just sell it easily for the price equal or higher to the amount of money you lend out so that is the risk as your liquidity has been affected.

Yeah lending is risky if you are a lender you cannot recover easily to sell the accounts.. but many lenders are success to give loan to others thats why they are making a good profit to give loan.. every week depends how many people you are giving loan you can make a huge profit its more profit than you are just member of signature campaign.

Lending services is a really good investment though as  long you   handle the risk properly and  for sure you would really gain on it.  Loans are risky if you are  setting   not to strict  requirements  to someone  who  want to  request a  loan be sure  to have a good   collateral.

yeah that is a bloody good way to make some cool green trust right  Grin and go on doing that for a while and then scam a person for a very big amount, known alts Account farming these two threads will help people giving out loan to find out who is trying to scam and coming back with an alt nd so on

Lol, i never thought about it this way, but that is actually right that any scammer might apply this thing, once he gets a positive trust with his own alts he will probably be trusted by someone new in this business and he can easily scam him.
Loans can be too risky in that way.

I know that people give out loans but what's up with people no returning what they borrowed?? I want to know this because I might give out loans myself and I want to know what to watch out for... I have ~800 BTC at the moment and would it be a bad idea to start loaning? I bought my BTC back in 2010 mid August January(when it was about $0.07 per BTC) and I noticed the price went up a ton! Also what would be some other way to grow my BTC? Any ideas on what I should do?

Something I should have added my friend was doing something you guys call "mining" I am very knew to the bitcoin world even though I have had them for a long time. I bought these bitcoin from him because he needed to sell them, my financial advisor has told me that the longer I wait the more return I would get so I told him hold the account for 5 years and ill see where I am... So last July I had gotten my account back, did a bunch of research then found you guys. So I came here to post a few posts and for everyone skeptical this is the proof https://gyazo.com/ee99cef712e9b72f03a3e8e870c33624

If you really have that number of bitcoins well giving loans or offering loans would be bad for you or in your term risky.Because bitcointalk accounts may be hacked and use to get loans and default it

Anyone can say they get 800 BTC here on forum but to prove it depends on him. Lending anywhere especially online is risky but in Poloniex exchange they have this feature where you can lend your BTC to traders. I think that feature is nice, because the borrower will used it to trade only.

If I have that big amount of BTC, I would have cash out that amount and will just a real business in real world, I love lending business so maybe I would consider that, or even I would start my own bank because I am a banker myself and I know the procedure in doing it.

that's why when someone is requesting loan, the one who will give the loan need them to sign a message from the address which is already staked by the accounts about few months or even more,to make sure the account is not a hacked account

Yes be very careful of bought/ sold account.
Look for large gaps where that account was not making posts, or making more posts in an attempt to get their rank higher.
Look at the language in their posts. Does it sound like the same person, or does their writing style and post topics change at a certain point?
Have them sign a message to prove they own that Bitcoin address.

Accounts are bought and sold all the time,
and there are definitely people who will use an old account that was bought or hacked to pull an exit scam.

You just should make good name in this business, people always trying to scam other people but when you trusted and have good name, people are scared to do it.

Someone giving away loans should probably keep these things in mind that this forum is full of scammers and that is not hidden because we can see them everywhere trying their tricks to scam people. but it is the responsibility of that person himself to protect himself from such things.

Soo you do know several people get a loan and wont repay, and those will make you get pissed bored at same time, lending its a hard area to be at the moment, sure those who repay cover the loss, but why take such risk, invest into something that wont make you get pissed.

There are many borrowers that would not pay their loans especially online because they cannot be trace and they have no legal liability against the law, there is no crime in not paying loan online as there is no contract as a legal basis that you have loan money from a certain company or person.

There are a few sites that back the loans in different ways, not many.  So, nothing bad about these loans or the sites, but watch your margins and risks.

yes , it is risky to give loan whether you are giving loan in any way ( i mean in this forum with trust or BTCjam like site ) .
my friend already lost about 0.6 btc in btcjam by gave loan .
secondly i am curious that how did you get 800btc since you are newbie and also said already you are new to the bitcoin world .

Instead of loaning a single BTC to one person, loan half to a strong repped account and half to one that repays with higher interest but has higher risks, same thing you do with coin investments.
