I tried martingale before but never had the luck. You need a large of capital for a very small return. Now, I use YOLO, you lose big if you lose but win big if you win on a single roll.
That is sad. That's not how you gamble or use martingle. This is a terrible approach towards gambling. You should quit before you make losses that you cannot recover.Try sports betting a very good option. You can't win big on a roll if the winning chances are at 2x ,its still a slow procedure which progresses slowly.Even if you want to win big,you have to bet with a very big amount.

That's how it is with me. I only roll my salary once. If I win I doubled my salary for the week. But if I loose, I earned nothing for the week.

theoretically speaking, martingale should be profitable. but in reality what happens is that you never have enough funds to cover the number of losses you sustain. so there is always a bad luck which leads to total loss.

I somehow disagree, as in the end it all evens out, and you might even end up at a greater loss if you can no longer continue betting double. It's just a matter of when to stop - and the best time of course is if you're in a profit.

i have used martingale in dice many times. and since i usually don't have much bankroll for my martingale bets i start from 1 satoshi and set the multiplier to 2x (the normal thing) so far it is profitable but because of the small starting amount the profit is very tiny.

I saw some dicer make profit using martingale 24/7 taking big risk on a small profit. Martingale can be profitable if you have a big bankroll like you can survive 45 lose streak. Plus bonus wagered commision if you are smart enough ☺
Hear what you say 45 losing streaks such things only happen when they program them. They give you in the start more green and give all the red together so they can steal your bankroll. Fine people talk about provable fair but I don't call programmed losing fair at all.

Is it profitable? It can be, or you can go bust. It depends on your bankroll, your luck and how greedy you are. On BetterBets.io, I got pretty lucky with martingale and got my 4k RUBIES up to 10K RUBIES on Betterbets.io. Eventually, though, you will go bust as the house edge will hurt more over time. If you quit early with a good profit, then yeah you can profit. It's gambling - anything could happen. You could even go bust on your lose chain!

Gamble smartly.

Not true. Lets pretend I made 100 trillion bets on a 49.5% win chance. Do you think I would get a 45 losing streak? Probably.

Of course it isn't fair, but the rolls aren't rigged. The house needs and edge to make a good long term profit. The point of gambling sites are to make money! If the house edge was 0 or negative, the EV would be 0 or more! That basically means no profit expected for the house. Also, you can always verify your bets if you want. The house can't give the rig the rolls if it has a good provably fair system. After all, you are the one that decides the outcome with your client seed.

green means go/again. and red means stops. if you already got it for 10x ++ red. Better you sign out and back again tomorrow.
Patience is the great weapon to avoid big lose in a raw.

Martingale will work and produce a good profit if you use it on sports betting instead provably fair gaming .
In sports you will not get 10x consecutive lost if you stick in one team/player but in provably gaming you can get 20x consecutive lost which it's enough to make you frustrating.

Only if you can make +ev sports bets will it actually work and if that were the case there really is no need to martingale and cause massive exposure to your bankroll should you go on a unlucky run.

It's profitable for the casino. Read the other 100 page thread.

For a fun math hw. Go to your favorite dice site, calculate the odds of winning x in a row or losing x in a row, then figure out how much you would win using martingale and compare that to how much you would lose during that time using martingale.

The odds will be close to the same, and you will lose much more than you would win for a streak with the same odds. that's why martingale is stupid.

If you're going to Martingale... start low, have a massive bankroll, and stop after you hit following a large/profitable loss streak and thank your lucky stars you didn't bust.  Cheesy

it can be profitable if you're lucky and know when to stop. most of the time it is not profitable though.

It is profitable for the casino where you play at because you will lose all your money.  Smiley

I've made something like 400k rolls 'martingaling', could lose 22 in a row, if I recall correctly, didn't bust, but with so many rolls the probability of busting is already quite high.

I got 26 losses in a row once. granted it happened on a questionable site (999dice). but I still think that's possible. lost about 1.5BTC (iirc) that I got from the same site.

I think the record on just-dice was 34 losses at 49.5%. Technically, you could have infinite losses, but this is not very probable.

wow. that's got to be a lot of losses even if you start with 1 satoshi. if you multiply by 2 on each loss you'll bust, how much, around 150 300BTC? my head hurts just thinking about that.
171.7986918 is how much you'd lose in total if you lost 34 times. That's equivalent to (with the current price of a bitcoin being around 431.28 [coindesk]) approximately 74000 USD that you lose. That right there is a LOT of money to lose. However, if the bets there were with 0.00000001 clams as a starting basis, we can calculate that to be... about 0.335 BTC at current prices, and it would be a loss of 141 USD. That's a lot less than if you were to bet with satoshi, you know.
