No, it is not too early at all. Common sense is telling us that investors and traders will try to purchase more in anticipation of halving.
Price might go UP even before actual event will hit us and (considering we have alredy over 15 millions of BTC in circulation) halving will have rather psychological impact.

I would think that the increase would happen a month before but it seems to be happening right now with a little pump in the price today.

Nah, its 2 early. Compared to LTC halving, I d say, one month before. The issue at hand is whether it ll stay up or not?
