I use te MinePeon 2013 2 21 image. The CGMiner is version 2.10.5. I get my BFL FPGA next week. Then I can say mor about mixed FPGAs.

Hi,

short report. I've got my BFL FPGA today.

I switched off the RaspPi and the Ztex, connected the BFA FPGA to the USB hub and powerd on all. The Ztex, BFL and then the RaspPi. Till now all works fine. Nothing to do. Simply plugin the additional BFL FPGA. Thanks for this easy Mining-Linux!

I just tried to compile bfgminer and cgminer on Gentoo Linux on the Pi and they compiled straight out of the box:

And only 2.1GB used even though I have vim, git, subversion, etc. installed which is probably not of general interest for the typical miner.

I'm almost one month past my lunch hour install. I've had exactly ZERO down time or problems.

That is awesome to hear. I switched to Linux on all my mining rigs about a year ago from windows and never looked back. And now with the Pi, wow I can't believe how much that thing can do for around $35 (plus SD & case) It's saved me a ton of cash on electricity.

I have Minepeon now running 24/7 since March 29th.
I have to say that I'm very happy with the results.

There was one time, after 2 days, when somehow all three X6500 FPGAs where listed as dead and stayed that way until I saw it and restarted the system manually.
Feature request: Would be great if an email is sent if a device goes bad.

Other then that the hash rate is stable and it seems that it is even a little bit higher then with my previous setup.

let s say if i want to run a full board of avalon asic(80 chips) do you think it ll be able to handle it?

You'll have to wait until I work that out

No one has a BFL ASIC near an rpi yet - only BFL have their ASICs as yet, none have left the building.

Anyway,
an MMQ FPGA uses less than 3% - I found that USB access was the biggest use of CPU (I reduced that from around 12% with a small change)
a BFL FPGA uses less than 2% (coz it waits until it starts polling for a result)

My guess from my original 12% MMQ figure is that a 60GH/s bfl asic MAY be under 20% CPU as long as you are using Stratum and an appropriate difficulty.
We'll see when I get one.

My first access to the BFL ASIC will probably be remote - so no rpi testing - so that will be to get the cgminer base code working.
Once I get one, I'll then be able to do optimisations that may be possible for the rpi - depending on how it performs.

17!  And it did not work, it is one of the reasons I have been holding back on a release.  There seems to be something holding it back from running more than 12 devices (12 runs fine though), I want to see if I can get to the bottom of it.

I am half thinking I should not be such a perfectionist and just release what I have though (graphs fixed, tons of updates, latest mining software, privilege separation, multiple pool support, HTTPS, password web interface etc...), if you guys want it I will push out a build tonight.

Its a bit raw, but still workable.

As I don't have any X6500's it is a bit hard for me to diagnose your problems unfortunatly.  I do know they work however, torusJKL confirmed that to me in a post ( he has 3 of them running https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137934.msg1701629#msg1701629 ).

He may chime in and help you out, if you find a solution please let me know here so anyoine else who is having issues can learn from it.

In the meantime could you give me any errors/ output you have so I can see what I can do.

Your last version was too stable and I am too lazy to turn the thing off! Hehe. Maybe this weekend I will get around to it!

Thank you for your great work - i plugged my ZTex into the RPi, started the RPi, put in a pool and... they are hashing - couldnt believe this

If i use two pools - will cgminer change to the inactive pool when the active pool connection fails?
