The wiki is on minepeon.com

He's been unresponsive since 22 aug, so he's probably pretty busy.

I tried to use 25 USB Block Erupters with 2 HUB's directly connected to my RPI and 2 more HUB's connected to the first 2 HUB's. I'm using a total of more than 20 Amperes@5 volts from the 4 PU's connected to the 4 HUB's.

I had so many errors, with the USB Block Erupters disconnecting and reconnecting and the MinePeon crashing, that I had to divide the 4 HUB's to one more RPI.

Now, I have each of the HUB's directly connected to one of the ports of one of the RPI's, one of the RPI's with 13 Gizmos, the other with 12.

1 hour has passed and both MinePeon's are stable. For both SD's, I have the initial 0.2.3 version of MinePeon (without Arch Linux updates), but with the new cgminer 3.4.0 and last versions of MinePeon (via git pull).

The LCD is now a picture frame...  Grin

Hi guys,

I need to apologise, I had a re-occurrence of a chest infection that I had a while back and it totally knocked me around, so much so I could not even bear to look at a screen because it mad me feel ill (still does, just not as much).

I am about to start to pick apart the latest build to see if I have inadvertently added something that leads to unstability.  It seems to be mainly 0.2.3 and 0.2.3a, and they include 3 things that I am looking at;-

The advanced UI,
The LCDStats programme
and PiMienr.

All three make heavy use of the API so I am starting to look in that direction, the raspberry PI is quite low on resources and it may be that I am stressing it too much and need to back off a bit.

Working through them now, I just did a bit one from Thomas.  You may need to reapply and push again.

I actually have a cubeboard right here just for that propose.  I am not saying that processor power is a problem with the Pi yet, but it does seem that as Thomas and I add more to MinePeon the less stable it is getting.

Hmm - an off the cuff thought ... using 2 different libusb's on a single OS may be problematic?
Of course that depends on what python uses also ...

It is something I am investigating, the amount of calls that are moving through the USB sysb systems has dramatic increased.  The cgiminer libusb has been joined now with the python usb.

I am not working on it as fast as I would like to though, I feel a bit guilty that my un-wellness is slowing me down .

Heh - no hurry.
I had that most of the week before last, going into last week, and I didn't get much done then either.

Very interesting thoughts. It could very well be some strange conflict between the libraries. I need to do some thinking on how to test that.

As for the sheer number of USB calls overall, slowing the refresh rate of the LCD app should maybe help eliminate or confirm that as possibility?

Can Minepeon listen on a different port instead of :443 or :80 ?  Can it be set up to first request credentials BEFORE it displays the MINEPEON splash page?  We don't want any intruders knowing what they've come across do we?  Smiley

Also, what are the firewall settings out of the box?

I'm not sure this is what you're considering, but I HIGHLY suggest that this not be directly connected to the internet.  Ensure it's behind a firewall (on a private network).

Others have mentioned how to change the port and remove the splash page, but if you have concerns with your internal network, then you probably have much bigger things to worry about.

Last version of MinePeon  @ GitHub doesn't have graphics? I tried to modify 'Graph points' followed by 'Save settings', but it keeps giving no graphics. I did loved the old version, with Advanced option.  Grin In both RPI's, Uptime 13h 59s 52s

What OS/browser are you using?
Do you mind sending me /var/log/httpd/error.log?
Is there any error in your browser console?

On the github version:
Graphs, maybe highcharts is not compatible, that would be no fun. I'm adding the normal graphs now.
Pools, there are two new files created: miner.pools.json and miner.options.json, these are perfectly compatible with angular. These files are loaded in the miner section. When saved, these files change AND get merged into a cgminer compatible miner.conf  So check if those files exist and mod (660) and if /opt/minepeon/etc is mod (770)
