Hi I was hoping i might get a quick consult on my suddenly red lighting Avalon6

Not sure what's gone wrong but I've been monkeying with nearly a half dozen PSU's trying to get the voltage up from 11.5 - 11.7 and now I've tried all manner of combinations when finally after trying my one brand new corsair 1200AXi that I'd been using on one of my S7's finally I got the proper 12.0v and appropriate hashing speeds were achieved.

So after re-rigging everything with the other S7's I finally freed up the 1200AXi and now I'm hit with a blinking red light which I'm assuming is not a great thing to see cause it seems to be accompanied by a silence no familiar fan boot ups nothing just a series of flashing led's then solid red.

Do you have any suggestions?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

you are over volting.  the gui number is .3 to .5 volts under real volts.

Thanks for the reply I managed to get everything back up and going again not long after posting the call for help but I appreciate the help regardless even though I sold not hours after restoring functionality.

Maybe mine was a "runt" or just a slightly less than average performer but if I didn't hit 11.9v. or higher on the GUI the damned thing wouldn't even come close to advertised speeds in fact at 11.5 and 11.6 I would routinely be averaging 2700GH/s that's way shy of what I was expecting.

Bought on ebay for 700 sold on ebay 690 maybe I got a "dud" but I found it to be far too high maintenance for my style.

If it's only getting 2.7T... you would have been better off going against who you bought from vs selling.  If someone receives a miner like that under paypal there is a HUGE  chance it's going to be returned.

Did you warn in auction it was getting 2.7T speed?  I wonder with red and speed.... if you possibly bought from someone who overvolted it and killed 1/2 the hashing.

no  some other issue is the problem.  I killed a board and dropped to 1.4- 1.7 th  2.7 is too high for 1 board.

Still I hope he listed it as a 2.7T or that thing is going to be coming back.  It does not matter what settings on ebay paypal has a pretty hard side with buyer.

Did you know paypal has a "changed mind" option now... it's getting crazy I think.   They wanted the item at time of order but don't after time with it, and nothing wrong.  Crazy ebay and paypal...

LOL  Still I hope he listed it as a 2.7T or that thing is going to be coming back.

Well congrats to you sir indeed it is COMING BACK G'Damnit...  Angry

I wish I hadn't panicked but you were exactly right but it's actually worse than you're original prediction.

It's not coming back for being a low hashing "runt."  I wish...No it's coming back with the following...

Feb 26The buyer requested a return:

Reason for return: Doesn't work or defective
Comments: Connected to Corsair AX1200 already used for scrypt miner. Daisy-chained to an already in place unit and starts up and then red-light blinking. Connected to naother PSU and separately to Rasberry and this unit will not hash. The unit is defective.

So now I'm getting back a totally red lighting non-functioning $700 albatross/loss

Totally pissed.

Thanks for the replies I'll be back in a few hours after I've tried every Platinum PSU I have on this PINT machine.

Not optimistic  Angry

You will have to play with it once you get it back.  Hopefully he was not use to a Avalon and did something wrong.... but hard to tell with how your unit sounds funky somewhere.

But yea... if you sell on ebay if there are ANY problems at all list them.  Heck list if its dusty even.  You cant sell a item as an A6 that is not working perfect, without warning buyer.   Even with no returns said and marked in this case it will come back to you guaranteed.

Hope you get it fixed... but you should have went against person who sold to you instead of trying to pawn off on someone else.
