People here need to realize banks are why XRP is the third highest market cap in all of crypto. They control the worlds money supply for the near-term. If they intend to adopt Ripple's tech, XRP will go up. If they start using XRP itself, then it will skyrocket..

This is smart money. Thing is, you won't see huge gains (without news) because it is meant to be relatively stable, and it will take a few years for adoption to takeoff. It is largely still being tested by financial institutions.

Well, I don't think the banks will adopt Ripple's technology because they can implement their own technologies for p2p money transfers. It's not reasonable for a bank to use third party technology for money transfers. I wonder when this rumor will stop spreading.

Bitcoin wallet disabled until after BIP-91 is settled. Bittrex

Statement on the upcoming Bitcoin activation of Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 91 (BIP 91)

Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 91 (BIP 91, also known as Miner Activated Soft Fork) recently locked in over 90 percent of all mining hash power, signaling majority support for this proposal. BIP 91's lock in effectively makes BIP 148 (User Activated Soft Fork scheduled for August 1) obsolete and nullifies the chances of the Bitcoin network forking through UASF.

At this time, with BIP 91 locked in, we are confident that the Bitcoin network will successfully activate and enforce BIP 91 blocks. Bittrex will be monitoring this situation closely. We do not anticipate any issues with BIP 91 activation. However, Bittrex will close deposits and withdrawals of Bitcoin (including 2nd layer protocol XCP/OMNI and associated assets) 4 hours prior to the BIP 91 activation block 477,120 anticipated to be at July 23, 12am PST (7am UTC). The wallet will remain closed until the majority hash power chain is clearly established. Trading will remain active during this time. In the event of a chain split, Bittrex will take all reasonable steps to ensure that customer funds can be preserved on both chains.

Luckily, bittrex still provides both bitcoin and bitcoin cash if the blockchain split into 2. Thanks godness that they protect the traders's benefits. Therefore, we do not need to hold our bitcoin in our own wallet at all Cheesy

Many banks are being adopted by this Ripple Blockchain technology but why the price of the XRP is still, undervalued currency in the market. But many experts are kept explaining Ripple is going to be the future currency.

Ripple Blochchain technology it is realy value thing. But not XRP. XRP just speculative coin. For interbank settlements could be issued new coin and distributed (sold) to participant of settlements. It is simple thing that price of XRP does not connect to Ripple income Wink
- Exactly, banks are not interested in ripple, they are only interested in the technology of ripple, technology can help the transaction happen faster. This is a sad truth to the ripple and who put their trust in it
- We all can see the ripple gets a lot of good news, many people predict the price of the ripple will rise high but it still tends to decrease severely, many investors are gradually abandoning it. Actually, now I do not find any reason or anything to believe in a nice future with ripple.

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/21/ripples-xrp-digital-currency-rose-3977-percent-in-the-first-half-of-2017.html

Quote
"With respect to growth and outreach, we will continue to partner with digital asset exchanges for listings and mostly importantly ... it is really all about payments and in this quarter, you will see some very interesting developments with respect to our partnership in payments, with respect to XRP in particular,"

Miguel Vias told CNBC.

You will be the one who perplexedly watch XRP gradually and confidently crossing 20B mark cap. Well, I am glad that I not be you at that time.

I'll start thinking that you work for ripple, do you ?

By the way I still wait for 1$, no matter how long it will take.

You really want speculation on this? It's not going anywhere that's based on the fact that it hasn't gone anywhere and it's been around for a while. There is not much movement in Ripple price for a month or more.

Ripple is in a long stagnancy. Best to look at more dynamic coins. Monero, Stratis, Waves, for example.

Im hearing things about the btc fork, rumours about HF , another btc coin called bitcoincash, bcc
possibly two chains ,may  double supply of btc? to 42mill
what happens to the 1mill btc premine from old chain, who gets it on the other chain?
+so many other questions....

this maybe new ground for btc maximilists, but etherians have saw this and many etherians will say, etc only came to exist because of the btc maximilists,
so what is to stop the etherians getting back at btc by supporting the other chain? making sure two types of btc exist.

This is where XRP shines, hassle free , fast and cheap  Smiley
I can see alot of btc funds coming here now.

Price is going well now. Its not a fast as before that it goes up quickly to $0.40 and down, but its climbing up one step at a time. We'd have to wait more than a years to finally see its going well.
