Here are the profiles of Sanders and Trump on Politifact.

Tell me just one thing you Trumpers, how do you justify that nearly 80% of what Trump says is at least mostly false?

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/donald-trump/

http://www.politifact.com/personalities/bernie-s/

Is there any justification for that?

One factor is what the media would show. Some politicians would tend to tell other side of an event to give more positive view on whatever they did. Voters on the other hand would want to hear something that can benefit them in the easiest ways. Some voters would go in to the detail on the background and attitudes of a person towards an event.

Well, what's for sure is that if you go in the detail he's a liar!

Problem being that lying isn't so much important. 100% of politicians lie that's not the problem.

The problem is that we see people keeping yelling "He's speaking his mind" "He's not lying to the people"

Well yes he is! He is exactly like each and other politician! He has nothing different! He lies even more than the others!

It's because of smug, arrogant people like you who attacked absolutely everybody else over their beliefs and try to claim your favourite candidate is morally superior and you should all worship him that people are voting in the likes of Trump and Sanders, it's specifically designed to piss you off and the great thing is, it's working and it's hilarious watching you all go into a meltdown over it.

By the way, if we compare Trump and Sanders to somebody like Clinton, even Sanders is far more genuine and honest than she'll ever be.

Aren't all politicians liars? They always lie to to the people to get what they want and that is power and money.

Exactly what he said. I am no Trump supporter by any means, but you can't call Trump out when Hillary has been lying and deceiving her way throughout her entire political career.

Oh ok.

Thanks for your explanation. I understand better.
BTW I'm not even American, I don't claim anyone is "morally superior" I just genuinely didn't understand.

So in fact you don't vote for Trump, you vote against the whole political system that makes you sick.
Makes more sense I guess.

But it really reminds me of the Stephan King book "Deadzone" ^^

I wish I would know more about your own country, or whatever it is that it is closer to your ideal. It seems your only interest is the American's way of life. Your thread title is a universal truth for some people. When you have a center of gravity, genuine people here will understand you better, from your perspective. For some here their 'center of gravity' is russia, others, ukraine, others their religion, their atheism, etc, etc...

Just hating America, while being in love with the American author stephen king is fine but, hating America from your perspective of what life should be, based on what your ideal is, is better.

I'm British, but it's precisely because I'm British I understand how the Americans feel, here in Yorkshire we absolutely hate the smug pricks that run our country and tell us how to live, everybody in the North hates these disgusing socialites that think the world revolves around them.

If Trump didn't have his name, he would never be able to get away with this and be successful in the polls. One of the most important qualities in a leader of a country must be honesty.

Here is why people vote for a liar.

In America, television is king. People come home from work or school and sit down and watch TV. They watch while they eat dinner. They watch when they go to bed, and they fall asleep listening to TV. Some people even watch TV at work.

Now, tell me. How much of TV is the truth? The weatherman lies all the time about the weather. All the movies, and many of the documentaries are simply acting - no or little truth. People narrating documentaries often lie about what is being shown. The evening or morning news is packed full of lies. In fact, only a tiny bit of truth is ever found on TV.

Television is the American past time. There isn't much of anything else to do in the big cities where millions of Americans live. So, Americans watch TV, and learn to love lies.

Since Americans love lies from watching TV, who are they going to vote for? Aren't they going to vote for the person who does the thing that they love the most? Aren't they going to vote for the person who tells the biggest and most lies?

Do you want to win in politics? Forget solving hunger in America. Forget fighting for the cure for cancer. Forget curing the financial woes of America. Forget about the Middle East. What should you do to win? Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. And then lie some more. The American people will love you, and if you don't win, you will come close.

Cool

I think there is a history of Trump flip-flopping on issues.  But then again, almost all other politicians do the same thing so I guess it's status quo.

I pay almost no attention to what almost anyone 'says', and that is extra true in modern politics.  To the extent I do, I try to figure out why they are saying it more than what they are saying as an indication of their overall positioning.

Trump, like Warren, seems to understand the type of people they are dealing with in the financial sector.  I'm inclined to take a chance on Trump and cross fingers that he will deal with them on our behalf.  It's a long-shot, but stranger things have happened.  If he chooses to attempt an attack, 'knowing the enemy' is critical.  What Clinton seems to know about this sector is that it is an easy place to pick up a quarter million bucks for a few hours of work (including driving time.)

The Democratic machine is well oiled enough that it's a waste of time to worry about Sanders.  If I did need to, however, I worry significantly that he is milking the global climate change fraud to the max, and the pinko side of it.  Which is to say, employing it in it's transfer of wealth from 'rich' to the poor formation (where 'rich' means the middle class since the 1% can easily skate and in fact use it to their advantage to get into the 0.01%.)  He is either to dumb to realize that it is a scam, or knows it and welcomes it in which case he is nothing but a scammer.  In this case, assuming he is 'honest', a scammer of the 'warmista' type.
