Best wallet.... I see as hardware wallet.  They are easy to use and also very secure.  I think you should make security a bigger deal then convenient.

A lot of newcomers use coinbase.com but it won't give you full control over the wallet. As notlist3d said, a hardware wallet may be better for you - Trezor seems popular these days. You have to read up on the bitcoin protocol and then you'll be able to create your own wallet addresses securely on the blockchain.

What are your preferences do you like more using on a PC/Desktop wallet or mobile wallet, there are also hardware wallet.
My choices are as follow: for mobile Mycelium, for PC Bitcoin Core and for hardware wallet Trezor.

For me the most secure and convinent bitcoin wallet is blockchain.info. This wallet is online bitcoin wallet, and i'm sure it's really secure for stored your bitcoins.

actually I would suggest blockchain too because i had never any problem during use this wallet but some people have issue regarding this wallet
and my advice for OP is you have to try bitcoin core for save your bitcoin

I'd say Mycelium is a convenient Android wallet for Bitcoiners. If you have Android phone, check it out. Whenever you need to pay something, online or in physical, just take out your phone. Scan. Tap pay and you're done.

it depends on what you want to do!
for example:
- for cold storage and holding bitcoin and not touching it for a couple of years : laminated paper wallet
- for cold storage but being able to use it and not have to sweep the keys : offline wallet (like Electrum)
- for hot wallet (SPV) : Electrum
- for hot wallet (Full node) : Core, Armory
- for online wallet where you have the private keys : Blockchain.info
- for online wallet where you don't have private keys but have some other features : Coinbase
- for Mobile wallet : there are a couple but never used, can't suggest
- ......

I think for that hardware wallet The price is very expensive but he can give good service easy and secure. You have to spend a lot of money if you want to have it.

For me the best wallet is multibit on pc and bitcoin wallet on my android phone.
You can use paper wallet for more security.
