So if someone wants to email via your application, how much will it likely cost him? Are your fees dependent on the state of the Ethereum network?
Is the dev still around and is he actually answering any questions? This looks really completely dead. He probably didn't have any answers for valid questions.
Yes, we are around and are working on things very actively. As for the question at hand;
Gas wont be an issue, by way of email distribution the approximate cost per email would be around .003 for your average user at normal priority. There are a couple of ways we plan to keep costs down.
DEC's (
Distributed Email Clusters)
By using a distributed email solution, emails sent in the same block can be clustered and the cost of gas can be shared. As adoption rates rise, cost goes down.
SGBP (
Shared Gas Batching based on Priority)
We understand that in early stages these costs could be a little high for the average user- to combat this forseen problem we will utilize message priority. High Priority (0-20 Seconds send time), Normal priority (0-60 seconds send time) and low-priority (0-3min send time). Utilizing these priorites queues can be built containing a number of emails based on gas cost.
Please let us know if you have other questions, we would be more then happy to answer them!
