Are you continuing development, krile???

Could you told us if you are working in any new feature in the wallet?

Yes I am still developing. Right now mainly focusing on a mobile wallet

Mobile wallet would be great thing. If you need any beta testers, im interested.

I find it funny that he says he is closing it due to low interest when it is/was the largest Neva pool and had 98 miners around the time of his posting. That's more miners than about half of Nova's pools...

It's more about pool hash vs net hash, not minercount.

Makes more sense when you put it that way... but still compared to a lot coins on the pool the percentage isn't that great of a difference... I think you're just being nice about the elephant in the room so to speak.... Not like I get my Neva from your pool anymore anyway and no one else is trying to change your mind... I'm still going to mine LBC there with my main rig(as long as it stays above $0.08), regardless if you keep Neva or not; I just do not like to see the largest pool end...

I will release a new update soon (minor fixes, no protocol level changes).

What does the community think about the mining button in the wallet? Should I leave it in? Anyone actually using it? Anyone found a block using the solo mining feature recently?

Also I see the vote is slowly getting in favor of proof of work mining forever. From a security standpoint I think that might not be a bad idea. But there is still plenty of time for that to be changed, I am just wandering if anyone has any opinions on the subject...

Argument for proof of mining forever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsLrJp6cLf4&

I would also like to add additional seed nodes in the code. If anyone is running a node 24/7 with a domain pointed at it please PM me if you would like to be added as a seed.
(I am not planning on shutting down my nodes, I would just like ti see the core of the network more distributed among the users)

Cheers

I think you should get rid of it; unless you plan on upgrading it to GPU mining. I do not think anyone is solo CPU mining, it no longer seems feasible. Then again I do not have a high end CPU to mine with, blake2s like any other algo that has GPU mining does not work for me. Maybe someone with a good i-7 can still make a go of it.... Neva is still solo minable with a GPU.

POW could be good for the coin; however Neva would have to grow greatly in value for it to stay POW since no one would mine it with tiny block rewards that have low value. Neva still has time to grow though, under the current plan. If going to POS only, early was part of the thought process of the poll I would be against that currently. Nevertheless, I would not be against going to POS only in the future either. I would just hold coarse and see how things play out. We still need to get on a second exchange...

I am still not completely for PoS only. Like mentioned there is more than enough time to decide on this. Currently last PoW block is 5256000. PoS still has not been tested enough, and in the years to come we will see more development. Andreas gives a good point on the benefits of PoW in the video I linked above.

I contacted bter.com to list the coin for voting a few days ago... Hope there is some response.

But sure enough there will be a second exchange soon, and not a shitty one like yobit. The community is growing slowly, and slow stable growth is always better in my book.

Any seed node candidates for the next release? Smiley

we support a few coins with seednodes that are hardcoded into the wallets for a few coins ...

the issue is simply that it is done in the hope that it will support the network and backbone - and not for a 'profit' situation ...

if you want to chat about it - pm me mate ...

or get me on skype - chrysophylax69 ... irc #chainworksindustries ... though skype really is the best way - as i have that on almost every device i own ...

Yes that is the plan. That is why I am asking. Its always better to have different users running the seeds under different independent domains. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow and maybe forget to renew nevacoin.pw Smiley

I will contact you asap.

Anyone else that is already running a Neva node 24/7 and has a domain and wants to be included as a seed in the next release, feel free to PM me.

The blocks you mined are orphans.

What version is your wallet?

You don't have many connections, that might be the reason. Under settings -> options -> network: check if UPnP is enabled.

If it is enabled then you will have to manually forward port 7391 on your router.
