Most high-ticket items on this forum are purchased via PM, and a lot of the high rollers I've dealt with over the years rarely, if ever, post in threads anymore. Brokerage is an opportunity for private buyers to obtain items without having to reveal their identity to the world, and it's also an opportunity for newer/unknown sellers to sell their goods in a manner that the buyers can trust.
