why would they direct OP to that site if they don't have some access to its database?

@OP
I hope you're the one who changed your password few minutes before you created this thread.

Yeah, it's an old trick to replace l and I. It's not that bad on this forum but if you have bad luck then the website you receive this on has another font. It can be then that both signs look indistinguishable and you will click it without noticing.

He already used that trick once successfully. See my trust rating for him. Damage 0.62 bitcoin.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Wow. I would've fallen for that. How did you catch such a scam site? That's a pretty sly scammer.

Change your password and stake an address.

Yes, no green lock on the left of url.

Having to login manually because password manager doesn't autofill.

Checking URL when hovering in the bottom left of the browser window will show you strange signs even when you can't see that a small L is in fact a big i. Though surely, that is hard as long as you don't get aware of it by the login.

Though I don't understand how it can be that the hacker still was in the account since the victim claims that he changed pass.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.
