This is the end of Star Trek vs Star Wars with J.J. Abrams directing both. Is that why he blew up planet Vulcan? Will Spock become the next Jedi Master at Fringe Division? His Star Trek 90210 single-handedly ended the ST franchise forever. Will he do the same to SW? What's next, will he direct The Simarillion as an alien invasion? Somehow J.J. Abrams will find the perfect movie formula that numbs every human mind into the green goo that Seth McFarlane craves and there will finally be world peace.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

Abrams' Star Trek got a lot of praise, but I didn't like it at all. I'm not bothered by the timeline stuff; I just thought it was a very boring movie. I thought that Star Wars had a lot of potential (some of the expanded universe stuff is really interesting), but I don't have much hope if Abrams is directing it.

It had great sfx and animations and whatnot, but the characters and script were so meh it just didn't do much for me. Also it fell into the 'star trek is only about space battles' mode of thinking which I myself have never been a big fan of.

The actors also wore way too much makeup, they were just too...pretty...

This may be heresy, but I've stopped liking either one of those series.

lol it's not heresy, it's common sense, I don't like either of them very much either now, I was never a big fan of Star Trek but I was pretty pissed with the way they butchered Star Wars, the problem is they make these versions of it and completely abandon the original idea and stay in denial if it turns out to be complete bollocks, while it wasn't this guy someone decided that removing base building etc. and good huge battles in Warhammer Dawn of War was a good idea so now I'm reduced to crappy squad battles with sub-par tactics available for use.

What happened to people who pushed the boundaries a bit rather than stick to the same old thing? Look at Starcraft too! They've turned the characters into something rather amusing than the same dark tone it had before.
