There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Everything's good except the link to the Dwolla story is a Dwolla story that's not completely true.

The matter was cleared up from Dwolla's customer service a day or two later.

Not that I'm on Dwolla's side, just saying we don't need to bash them too much.  They are still the cheapest way to get money to Mtgox...

There are numerous inaccuracies. I was constantly cringing at his misstatements, but as an introduction it isn't too bad. I don't think he made any serious mistakes.
