So when I first launched the site I gave this guy 0.01 coins to play. After he asked for some more and I gave him 0.01 again. However, I think he thought I was too much of a push over and decided to bug me and ask for free money all the time now. I refused and he wouldn't stop and now he is spreading false rumours about how i don't "pay out" because he is not getting free money. I don't want him to keep talking crap about my site but I don't want to keep paying him free money either.

Anyone else running gambling site have similar experience? How did you guys deal with this?

update: now he is threatening to DDOS...

IP ban.. rinse and repeat when he comes back.. or mute that bastard.. If you have a decent server most script kiddies will not be able to DDOS you.

DUDE!  You are a sucker!  He knows that, and he is going to come back and ask you for more, because he knows you will pay!   Undecided

Let him DDOS your site if he can.  It will cost him more money that it costs you, even if he has the ability.

Just ignore him and understand that if you shrink to his level and start calling him names, etc, that it will hurt your business and he will win.

Like the others said, you shouldn't have given him any BTC past the initial promo. Don't worry so much about the forum complaining. If he says that you don't pay out you can show your payout history, the correspondence with the troll as proof, etc. These guys are pretty common, players know how to spot their BS. Just keep working on your reputation and consider this a lesson learned  Smiley

No players get special treatment at SatoshiBet. If there is a promo, you can claim it once.
We had players who request multiple promos, or a refund because they made a betting mistake or something, but giving it to any degree would be unfair to all other players, and we treat everyone equal.

However I always explain why I can't give him/her free btc, and so far everyone understands and respect that decision.. maybe we are just lucky so far :p

If someone would threatening with a DDoS or to post BS about us on the forums, I wouldn't even continue the conversation. I think the worst thing you can do is trying to negotiate your way out of such trolling Smiley

Straight on Addi, totally agree on how to handle trolls. For Bitcoin Video Casino, we've only had promos for testing new games and giving feedback. Our margins are way too low to give out promos, bonuses, or comps. It's the in the best interest of players to pick casinos that offer low house edge and fair play, NOT how often they give out bonuses.

To echo the others, never reward behavior that you don't want.  So don't fall prey to additional demands.

I realize that while building a new site's reputation (and ice dice looks great and I love the variable "win" range the player can select) you want to appear agreeable, some folks unfortunately are just very opportunistic and will seek to exploit you.  I think a firm all bets are final type statement coupled with a nice message about how you are sorry but you can't help folks is the way to go.

Almost everyone on the forums who is not a scammer has no sympathy for these types of people when they post.  This usually summarized most clearly as, "screenshots or it didn't happen."  So as long as you reply in a sensible tone to forum posts I think you'll be fine.

Finally, I would not be totally dismissive of the threat of ddos.  The BTC community obviously has a lot of fairly sophisticated users and both Just-Dice and Prime Dice (especially the latter) have had to deal with sustained ddos attacks.

Good Luck!

Just ignore him cause there is nothing much you can do, if you keep giving him it won't end. Just like the true gambler in the movie asking for more loans.
