If he deserves a chance to drive for a team is only individual to that team, not to you or me. They have made a better examination on his latest data and they can evaluate better if he truly deserves to race in Formula 1.

Also the news has the tendency to hype, very much like the news about ICOs hehe. So I do not reckon Kubica is as good as the news' hype.

It would be good for him not to drive f1 he dont have that anymore in him, he didnt need to drive that rally and hurt him, but this was decision that cost him driving f1 for good. He dont have that experience and many new comers will be better solution for any team.

There will be 19 races, one more than in 2017.

Maybe Mercedes should make a proposal to have Pascal Wehrlein get that 2nd Williams seat. Pascal's potential is wasted if he cannot race in Formula 1 consistently.

If you put him in an adequately fast car, I reckon he will give Max Verstappen the race for his life in every circuit.

I really don't want to see Sirotkin in Williams. It's just another driver with rich sponsor, same like Stroll. Money is important question, but I don't think that Williams can reach good results with these drivers.
Kubica was slower on tests, but it's understandable after such long break in F1. Kubica hava a lot of experience and I think it's better option for Williams. Offcourse, it's hard to expect to see Kubica at same level as he was racing in past.

@LTU_btc. Taking Robert Kubica is a risk. It might be good for the publicity of Williams, but there are better drivers out there like Daniil Kvyat and Pascal Wehrlien.

But if I was to make that decision, I will choose the young driver with the most potential, Pascal Wehrlein.

It is really distressing to see a glorious team like Williams thinking only of money and therefore drivers with rich sponsors.
 I hope they can change their mindset and choose drivers who can really improve the team's performance.
Between Sirotkin and Kubica I would surely choose Kubica because he at least has great motivation and experience (despite not being 100% of his possibilities as a few years ago)

Is McLaren playing it safe? The have released a statement that they are open to work with Honda again. But why say it this early after a disastrous 2017 season?

I reckon that they might not be fully confident with their move in using the Renault engines the next 3 years.



"We are grateful to Honda," Brown told Sky Sports.
"They're a great company, with great people, and the relationship was always strong.

"The relationship still is strong. Wouldn't rule out racing with them again, wish them the best but we needed to make some tough decisions to do what's in our best interest."

When asked again if McLaren would work with Honda again, he reiterated: "Oh of course, absolutely."

yes, this McLaren-Honda collaboration was disastrous!
in the 2015-2017 triennial they achieved best results only for the fifth places in 2015 and 2016 with Alonso.
In 3 years they only got 133 points total!

it's really strange that this partnership can continue after these disastrous results.

Give Honda time, let's not forget that it is still this manufacturer who keeps an absolute record of winning 15 out of 16 races in a Championship and the race they lost is because their drivers back then crashed into each other. So far no other team has done that and I doubt if any other team will ever achieve the same results. For me it is a mistake going away from Honda after three years, three years is enough for them to get to know F1 engine well and never underestimate Japanese intelligence when it come to cars and electronics.

In any case, they still have to prove themselves with their new partner, Toro Rosso. I also reckon that contemporary performance should matter more than history.

I really can't understand why there is such reaction about that video. C'mon, it's just jokes and nothing more. People are really too sensitive nowadays. But I don't think that it can affect Hamilton somehow, mostly people will forget about this "scandal" after few days.

Being famous has its own higher sets of responsibility.

Hamilton, speaking of f1!, declared with disappointment the choice of running the GP of France to Le Castellet (GP Paul Ricard).
He would have preferred to run on other French circuits like Le Mans or Magny-Cours which are historical and glorious circuits.

I don't think it was a publicity stunt at all, it's just another case of how if you speak against the current narrative, you get instantly insulted and basically forced to say that you were wrong in your statements, otherwise you risk your career as a public persona. It is insane that you aren't even able to say certain things anymore, and then get a mob of people basically forcing you to think like them or else you'll be hated and probably not be a part of a lot of advertisement campaign and other deals. This is the world we live in at nowadays.

And even if a kid should be able to wear whatever they want (because they don't even think of any of this, they just have fun dressing up) I should still be able to say that guys shouldn't be dressing up as princesses, but if you say that on social media.. you know what's next.
