same question. it would be great if we get notifications on our whatsapp also.. and even better if we can get seperate notifications on our mobile also. I mean if we don't have messangers we should still get notifications on our mobile.

There is no official api and WhatsApp actively ban bots.

It is not possible to receive notification without some application.
Alternatively I added support thru push notifications in browsers.
Works in latest Firefox(desktop) and Chrome(desktop/android)

I didn't know that! It seems that WhatsApp doesn't like bots, really sad.
