I don't see how anything done today was a scam, unless they keep money from people and fail to honor those orders.  Poor customer service, planning and testing? Yes. Scam? No.

Yeah, um... isn't this the point of hosting on AWS?  You spin up a ton of instances behind a load balancer at 8:55, point everyone to the lb at 9:00, take orders, then shut down the stack. If you used micro's or spot instances your total cost is under $50, probably way under it.

Well all... While this was interesting i have no wish to sit in front of the computer today. I msg bitsyncom with an offer of colo resources for free and he can take me up on the offer if he needs it. My order is in their system as i was sent to bitwallet but i did not pay the tiny amount of btc and now i am uncomfortable in sending anything until this is ironed out. I will check back later.

Good luck avalon. I hope this is resolved to everyones satisfaction.

Absolutely wrong.

Checked out from my information just fine and walletbit has issues. Problem #1.
Other people may have my name and home address, phone and email? Problem #2.

Avalon needs to fix this.

Otherwise, they need a scammer tag. I have been scammed by them this morning unless they make things right.

Seriously? Do you call the police when the grocery store is out of milk or the cashier gives you the wrong change?

Ok,

after registering I was able to buy two units, see

Now, the walletbit page does not refresh nor I've received a mail...

Let's hope I've not wasted 151 BTC...

Well what a waste of time that was. I spent 2 hours refreshing and trying to add to cart only to hang then when the site finally responds it says "Out of stock".

Well Avalon, I was committed to buying but alas, your ordering cart etc. have now had a meltdown and well, I haven't lucked out.

I guess I'll just keeping playing the markets and leave the miners to their own devices.

Good luck!

Well I have a "pay" page from walletbit with the right total, but my deposit to walletbit disappeared. Lots of confirmations and balance of 0 at walletbit. Address is correct. Nice way to lose $1500.

How many confirmations?

9 now. Maybe that's not enough?

[EDIT] Evidently 6 confirmations are required, but the process was held up somewhere inside walletbit. All resolved now. Just updating all these posts with correct information.

I never got an email when I signed up for the store, but after a password reset I was able to log in.

They have my coins now.  Not sure if any of it went through, but hopefully I'll at least get a refund if they over sold the units.

You're right that MT provided a poor analogy, but methinks you need to look up the definition of scam/scammer.  You have neither been cheated nor defrauded in the context of your two initial qualms.

The analogy was for point 1. Point 2 is just retarded, it's happened already, but how could they now make it right?

Also, that's a fuckup, not a scam. There's a difference.
