No, I never said any such thing.

I did say I needed "instructions from the mothership", which was simply the static IP address for which the machine was configured.

Once obtained -- as my review states -- you are able to access the box and set a root password.  Standard OpenWRT behavior and configuration in that regard.
It doesn't matter to me. Thanks for clarifying.

Perhaps by posting the best info I had I elicited your response, which will make it easier for other Avalon users in the future. The review at http://garzikrants.blogspot.com/2013/01/avalon-asic-miner-review.html is great. Smiley
