I'm curious to see how quickly Avalon ASIC's start appearing in the wild. At this point Jeff G's is the only one that's publicly known. ASIC customers, please post to this thread when the ASIC you ordered joins the network.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

If you had a machine that was generating BTC1 every 2 hours, would you take it apart to take pictures of it? Smiley

I don't think the increased hashing power is ASIC's.  It's either variation or just more people turning back on their miners because of the increased price.

No, but if I was chosen to receive one of the first units on the assumption that I'd be reviewing it, with a whole community waiting and holding their breath, I'd at least take ONE of the 3 cards out for a few hours to examine it  Roll Eyes

Very nice!

Haha I love how BFL was first to the ASIC game and they end up finishing last. But, I do understand that developing for 65nm is a bit more difficult than 110nm (Avalon) or 130nm (ASICMiner).

Still...

If I believed in dank, I'd say it's karma. The ones silently working on their project and keeping quiet, finish first, while the guy doing the weird and sometimes offensive song and dance routine on the forums has nothing to show.... But Fans.... Both sorts.
