You are correct that this type of offers are to collect the details about the user and then claim the same details and hack the account in this fourm and then sell them and like this they start to do scam.

you login via FB apps http://prntscr.com/a3hooe where you can control permission and app behaviour ! so they don't store or ask for your password etc..
this is not phishing attempt or anything! like that
