I'm pleased to offer TU.SILVER's very first "sell your signature" campaign.

How it works is simple. You bid a price for changing your signature to some positive message regarding TU.SILVER (described below) and leaving it like that for the rest of February. I then pay you the amount of money you asked for.

I am going to spend an amazing TEN SHINEY BITCOINS on this. Whether or not you win any bitcoins depends on how low you bid for your signature, and to a certain extent what your proposed signature will be.

The following rules apply:

1. You must post at least 30 times in the month of February (approx. once per day) in order to get paid.
2. Your total posts, divided by the number of days you've spent online (see user stats) must be at least 10.
3. Your proposed signature must be a positive message regarding silver, gold, and/or TU.SILVER on BitFunder
4. ... and contain a link to the TU.SILVER page on BitFunder, or the TU.SILVER thread in the securities forum.
5. I reserve the right to reject any bid's proposed signature and rewrite it for you to conform to #3 or #4.
6. Should I choose to rewrite your proposed signature you have the right to opt-out of your bid.
7. All bids not struck by rule 6 or recanted within 10 minutes will be considered binding.

There are currently ten bitcoins available for YOU! Bid now! The auction will end in precisely 48 hours from the timestamp on this post.

Good luck!

Do you need the entire signature, or part of it will do? (see below)

Good question. Part of it is fine, as long as the message I'm paying for is somehow visually distinct. On it's own line is good enough. It could be the first or last line of your signature or one in the middle. So you could keep your existing signature and just add it at the end temporarily. So as long as a four line signature is okay you could set yours to something like:

My BTC Tip Jar: 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz
My GPG key ID: B3AAEEB0 My OTC ID: johnthedong
Free escrow service available - tips appreciated! (PM Me)

Hmm.. apparently 3 lines is the max. I've modified my existing signature to 2 lines so I can add the ad (and preserve limited real estate).

I'll bid 9.8. The proposed words can be : TU.SILVER - Take advantage of the Silver Dip and buy with Bitcoins!
I'm open to any changes though - that's only an idea.
Is the bid solely based on the price bidded?

PS: To clarify, consider the situation where a 5-post newbie bids at 0.5 bitcoins and a 1000-post member bids at 5 bitcoins.

PS: To clarify, consider the situation where a 5-post newbie bids at 0.5 bitcoins and a 1000-post member bids at 5 bitcoins.

In the case of newbies, I'll be watching them and paying daily. This is very much an experiment however newbies like sporelord and Blank have acted honorably in auctions with me so I don't have any predjudice against newbies anymore.

let's say all existing bids stand and a 5 post newbie bids at 0.5 bitcoins and a 1000 post member bids at 5 bitcoins. The winners would look like this:

1. (bid 0.5, total 0.5) the 5 post newbie
2. (bid 5, total 5.5) the 1000 post member
--- TOTAL: 5.5 --- auction winners above this line ---
3. (bid 9.8, total 15.3) johnthedong
4. (bid 9.89) evolve
5. (bid 9.9) gweedo
6. (bid 10) E&G

In the above example, we stop at 5.5 BTC, since taking your bid at 9.8 would cause me to pay more than 10 BTC.

The results of the auction currently look like this:

1. (bid 9.8, total 15.3) johnthedong
--- TOTAL: 9.8 --- auction winners above this line ---
2. (bid 9.89) evolve
3. (bid 9.9) gweedo
4. (bid 10) E&G

I've already update my signature to this:

Invest in Silver - https://bitfunder.com/asset/TU.SILVER
TU.Silver Forum Thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137459.0

I'll change it to whatever you like that's legal.

I've already done it and bid 2.5 BTC

Thanks for the clarification - I was under the impression that you're spending up to 10 BTC for each person depending on the stats. *yawns at the 12:15 am clock*
Well, the 5-post and 1000-post analogy was meant to clarify a factor - the existing posts of the users do affect the 'valuation' of the ad as his/hers previous posts would be updated with the ad too.
