It would be nice if I could buy a preconfigured FPGA or ASIC box, already set up with p2pool. Just plug it into the AC and LAN (or USB?), open 192.168.x.x in a web browser, enter your address, and watch the coins trickle in.

I don't know much about computer hardware, but I've got "free" electricity and would like some anonymous bitcoins.

No, You can buy it as a private person legally, You cannot import it for resale. The japanese web shops are in Japanese and hard to read as an European.

I'm thinking in line of cheap tablets, laptops and products where there are high profit margins for the distributors.
Normally a $100 product in Japan costs $200 in the US and $300-400 in Europe if bought in a store!

How about a resort on the Pike Chain, south of Iron River, Wisconsin? Comes complete with a bar/lounge and 6 cabins. Did I mention the bar? The patriarch passed away 3-4 years ago, and I believe the son & daughter are considering selling. I would think that smaller website starting to use Bitcoin will be a good think. Like Maplins and other tech shops, that are indirectly assist Bitcoins growth.

Also maybe one of the governments actually making a speech including Bitcoin would help, just the snap out the humours that they are just hiding away from it, hoping it will faze out.

Yeah... What'll happen, though, is that I'll end up renting to some miner who will cause my house to get flagged as a grow house due to power consumption, and the cops will kick in the door and mess up my property.

What I really think is harder to acquire with bitcoins, it's not physical items, as soon as someone from Japan falls in love with bitcoins and realizes he could buy and resell for profit, it's done.

Besides poetrol/gasoline I don't know but, what will be more dificult to have with bitcoins are, actual services. Lawyers, plumbers electricians. Hell, hair salons.

fast food outlets

namely ones which have web access food ordering portal where it gets delivered within the hour
most countries (weirdly not america) use these guys Just-eat.com

imagine it. you go to the website, click your national flag, type in your postcode/zipcode. Then find your favourite nearby fastfood restaurant in the list, select your food. Then on payment screen it offers bitcoins.

now wouldn't that be something.

anyone know of any good PR/Sales people that have experience of convincing businesses into adopting bitcoin? this could be your next project.

so far there has not been much attention due to the demograph of this forum mostly being american. but hopefully someone that lives near their regional offices, that has great bitcoin adoption skills/success, will take this idea on.
