For me Internet is something like a real life almost. Talking to people makes me happy here almost as much as in real life. However, I feel like I need to spend time mostly talking face-to-face, being able to hug people and all that stuff. So I guess the use of the Internet doesn't make much difference or even makes my life brighter, because I can spend more time with the people I love

If you will spend all your day in front of your computer, you may loose your socialism. This maybe possible because you are always busy sitting in there. There are actually sometime that you may feel bored for doing the same thing. You need too get out from there and interact with people around you. You need them in order for you to grow, its good for some time but not the whole day..

I felt the same. It depends on you. if you want to change your mind and not go online in a long time, then you pay more attention to your friends, you will be not emotionless.

People that mask their emotions say as child soldiers, child abuse victims and ptsd issues tend to also go into this state. I know when I used to grind poker for 12+ hours, I would lose perspective of life. Balance is the key to solving this.

No, the internet made my life significantly better. It is a very useful resource.  People change over time and grow apart, even lovers. Make new friends

Not really emotionless well watching online can bring emotion,betting at casino then you lose also brings emotion and working for hours trying to finished the job you got online also brings emotion.

I haven't reached that level yet , I spend most of my time online but I take vacations too
every month or two I take a week off and go to the country side , during the vacation I never go online
I'm forced to do that cause the connection sucks there  but it works

Find a hobby you liked or may like and spend some time doing it. Go out for a walk. Go to the gym. See a show. Go to a concert. Just do something as though these things did not exist. During those hours perhaps you may find something that is truly useful to you.
And who knows, maybe you'll "stumble upon" something that you really enjoy.

Really good question.
I remember well also time before Internet.
We, children, played as lot games outside, and spend much more time together than children today.
It's not the same spend time with friends on Internet or in the real life.
Virtual communication and friendship is often without to deep emotions and sometimes can create emotionally empty people, who can not develop true feelings and communicate with others.
It's paradox that modern technologies don't bring us closer but we are moving away from each other.

It seems to be unreasonable to suggest that, it depends up on the right usage. Some people have a tendency to spend their whole time in internet without other activities. It my cause emotionless on some people. we should spend our valuable time with internet as well as some other activities. It refreshes our mind.
