Electric cars don't affect the oil industry. It has been proved that the electric car production makes much pollution than the pollution caused on driving a car running with oil.

Yes of course it is bad. Because they dont use it. And you see that the electric cars are now becoming more popular.
Of course that is good for the future but not for the oil industry. We all knot that electric cars will be more used later.

I do not think it will have any effect on the oil industry, oil is used for so much things, think about the fact its used for electricity centrals without oil there also will be no electrical cars.
Another thing is that a lot of factories need oil too.

Sooner or later, electric cars will replace oil-driven cars. The question is how long it takes. I personally think that the arrangement for significantly decreasing CO2 emissions in the upcoming years will lead to a downturn of oil.

You can be sure that utilities will jack up the price as more people adapt to electric cars. Still do not see the days of Oil ending in my life time but the push is sure there to make it this way. The problem will be to many options fighting for turf well oil chugs a long.

I want to see Bitcoin being incorporated from where the electricity is being generated, to the point where people pay for at the charging stations. There should be mini stations built into parking meters on the street and you will only have to scan a QR code with it's address and pay for the electricity with micro payments. I can already think of many other applications where people can have charging stations built into their post boxes at home and where strangers can charge up and pay for electricity in emergency situations, when they run out of electricity. ^hmmmm^

In the name of Holy Christ. What did I just read ?Bitcoins incorporated from where electricity is being generated.Have you ever thought of reading through any of the actual concepts including Bitcoins, how do they work, electricity, how charges are being transferred ? That post of yours sir is the main reasons why parents force us to go to School.

Some parents obviously failed to teach their kids manners and I see you are religious too, because you know how to use foul language. Nobody forced me to go to school, I actually enjoyed it and taught myself to speak 4 languages and write two. I admit to mixing some grammar and making the odd spelling mistake, but I still manage to get the message through, albeit with some mistakes. English is not my first language, but I get it right most of the time.

Stop with the personal attack on people for no apparent reason. Your post was off-topic and pure trolling, so just move on. ^hmmm dumbass^

As electric cars have usage limit. Electric cars will be used in a small scale which won't affect the oil industry.

It's a little bid bad, because it prevents the oil industry for selling more oil.
But plenty other machine beside cars need oil. it wouldn.t hurt it that bad.

It'd be a very LONG time for electric vehicles to hurt the oil industry. Diesel trucks will still hauling goods for long time. The only way I can see oil crashing so fast(if even possible) is the fact that trains are ran by electricity. But even those, they are supplied electricity by the massive generator/engine inside. So oil still thrives. But in the long run, we only have so much oil. So electricity will have to make some big hurdles just so we don't "die"  haha. No transportation would be the end. xP

Cheers!

electric cars of course will be bad for the oil industry but for now it's not influenced the oil's market due to the adopted of the electric cars is less than gasoline car, i trully believe if the electric cars going mainstream and all of the car produsent only produce electric cars that will be bad impact for oil industry

Fuel is not the only product made from oil.  All that plastic in the electric car is still made from oil.

source: http://energy.gov/sites/prod/files/oil_gas_poster.pdf

As well, alot of electricity in the world is still generated from the fossil fuel industry.
If we burn oil to generate electricity to power an electric car, all we are doing is moving the consumption of FF from the consumer to the power plants.

My opinion is that electric cars are the right step, but we have a long way to go in totally replacing FF as a primary fuel source.

There is still lots of money to be made by the oil industry.

Certainly, just by common sense if less cars are using electricity NOT PRODUCED FROM OIL then oil prices would drop, The trick is that a major percentage of electricity is oil based and for places not close to rivers it's the largest energy source.. I think Oil prices would keep dropping and stabilize at a more realistic price.

if it's electricity from clear sources like water streams and "even" nuclear power then it would affect oil industry negatively.

electric cars are the future of cars and i would says yes these things bad for the oil industry because if electric cars has already mass produced
i think people will more likely use these cars and will leave gasoline-fueled cars
I do agree. electric cars are easy to use, and because it doesn't use the oil, it will not gonna make kind of air polution. that's good for earth. but I have some concerns about the charge station of electric cars. will it be fine to use in big amount?

Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?
Its pretty obvious, isnt it? If electric cars gain more popularity and alot of people start to use them petroleum cars would go down hard. Mainly because of their long list of harmful effects on nature and other things and the high cost of petrol and tons of other things....
