What is the best miner for now and what is d best profitable cryptocoin to mine.

I want the best suggestion guys thank you

The best miner depends on what cryptocoin you want to mine.
So let's start: do you want to buy a hardware miner (ASIC), for Bitcoin-like coins or for Litecoin-like coins, do you want to mine with your GPU or CPU?

The profitability depends on how much you invest in the hardware, on the price you pay for electricity and on market, which fluctuates.

All in all, you have to give more data for better answers.

Okay fully new guy.

Pc's are next to worthless to mine with.

So I need to know what is your cost for power?

10 cents a kwatt you may make money.

5 cents you should make money.

15 cents you will lose money.

You need special gear to mine.

The ant miner s-7 is newest most efficient
The ant miner s-5 is not as new or efficient
The ant miner s-3 is pretty much too old but if you have free power it will make money.

Can you supply 240 volt or 120 volt
Can you supply 5 kwatts 24/7
Can you cool off the heat.

Can you handle the noise?

Do you have 100 usd

do you have 1000
Do you have 2000 usd
Dou you have good power supply's ?

As a rule: if there's hardware miner for something, you better not mine with computer.
CPU mining is worthless.
Laptop mining is the best way to burn your laptop fast. The GPU will heat up and break.

Doge is Litecoin-like. Same algorithm (called scrypt). For those there was built hardware miner, making the mining with computer worthless.
Dash has an algorithm called X11. For that you may have a chance if you have a (actually the more the better) very good and very new video card.

You have to be, however, very careful, because there's still a good chance you'll pay more for electricity than you'd pay cash for the coins.
This is a world where you'll have to research a lot and learn a lot. There's no "best option" just like that.
If you indeed want to mine altcoins (not bitcoin) you should ask in the thread of the coin you want to mine.

Also, I want to make sure you understand: you'll earn pennies/day.
Doing some work for bitcoin or buying bitcoin with your money earned.. like any money, can be a much easier way to actually own cryptocurrency.

can i hi-jack the thread away from this guy?

im also new to mining, i have about 9k in capital, i work in IT and have access to server rooms in buildings that i work at.

Im thinking i can buy something like a bitmain ant miner s7 batch1
and set it up in one of those server rooms which have ventilation and the cost would be nothing to me. and no one there would know that it doesn't belong there because they're end users lol

i know its kind of evil but hey, im thinking of ways to get ahead.

i see they cost a fuck ton (1800$), is there a better way to get these cheaper?

also, my question is - how can you choose what it is you want to mine?

i think i want to mine monero, and MAID with the ant miner mentioned - would that be profitable with 0 energy cost?

isn't it easier and wiser to mine lesser known altcoins that are expected to make a big splash?

how effective would the ant miner S7 be against ETH and XTC?

THANKS!

You can't mine those coins with an Antminer.  Based on the lack of forethought you demonstrate in your post, you will end up getting yourself fired.  Also, I'm pretty certain you will not make your money back even with free electricity.  You have to do some math - the halving is less than 120 days away.

Why try nicehash or minergate website, I think mining is not profitable anymore so if I were you just join mining pol instead, or just simply buy btc and wait for the halving to come and sell it when your bitcoin increase the price. sorry mate I really don't have trust anymore with mining it is just a waste of time.

Well it is using company resources for self enrichment which is wrong obviously.
In regards to mining in general for home miners i think you should forget it.
There is no way you will mine sufficient money out of the time and money you invest on this venture.

It's a horrible idea to use others resources to mine.  These day's its pretty easy to get software that shows everything installed, I think some would be surprised how many companies use this.  It allows them to track and make sure they have right number of licenses for certain products, and detect other installs.

That is a wrong way no matter what.  Home mining there are many factors, electricity being main one.   But it is still very much alive.   Just not for all at this point.

Despite your indirect promo for you website.

It shouldnt be wise for someone to go with a new service, no offense. There are other known services that already do this.. and the profit margins are very minimal.

Why not just go with a known service like gensis mining or bitmain.
