Isn't it a little odd that the overall efficiency has been pretty low lately?

If those stats are correct, over half of all shares submitted are being rejected. That would be quite alarming IF the stats are correct.

Best thing you can do is check your mining instances to see what they are reporting. If they are reporting the same, then it might be a good idea to not have over 1/2 off all the shares you are submitting being rejected.

There is a proxy pool that is getting a lot of stales. They need to fix their connection as it is not on our end

make sure your using worker.name and worker password. Not your account name and account password

For instance.. login to your www.ozcoin.net account

Click on Worker on the left hand side.

You will see a list of your workers. Use this information. Example below

wknight.home
1234

or in a cgminer config

   {
      "url" : "http://stratum.ozco.in:3333/",
      "user" : "wknight.home",
      "pass" : "1234"

Same problem here, getting auth failed: (null) both stratum:3333,eu and us server on port 8332
worker settings ok (i've just changed the url params for us and eu server)

Port 3333 is for stratum.. so if your trying to mine on that port make sure your at a version of cgminer that handles stratum. Im still on 2.10.5 myself.

If your looking for the old getwork protocol. Older cgminer.. port 8332 is what you want to use.

I have a lot of confidence in the following servers myself.

I would like to continue to mine my measly 0.9GH/s on Ozcoin but I cannot get the configuration right after the changes made roughly 9 hours ago.

Using cgminer 2.11.3 on http://us.ozco.in:8332    (I was on port 80.)

Since my hashrate was so small I was not using stratum and I was under the impression I would not be forced to do so.  Perhaps that is my problem.  Do I have to use stratum on Ozcoin now?

Edit:  Do I need to use "stratum+tcp://" instead of "http://" ?

Even though your hashrate is low I would still use stratum. Its overall a great protocol. Besides your already at the latest cgminer.. All you need to do is point your miner to the server.

http://stratum.ozco.in:3333

Besides you should see less stales also Smiley

Thanks for efforts and keeping miners updated wknight Smiley

Sorry guys been a bit distracted and busy
One if the things I have been doing is consulting with a lawyer about Ozcoin and making sure there are no foreseeable legal issues with how we are running and how to best prepare for any issues that might come up - so far its all good news Cheesy

Best wishes
Graet

Graet,

I have switched to stratum since 2 days ago. Initially it seems fine. But today i started to see my total hashrate is down around 5-10%. I thought one of my miners might have issue, but nope, cgminer shows hashrate  as normal (which is supposed to be 10% higher from ozcoin site)

What can be the issue here? btw, i left everything default (didnt touch difficulty)

Gosh... the website shows my hashrate all over place. What the hell is going?

It now shows 50% less than my miner's hashrate.

http://www.internetweathermap.com/map
the internet is lagging....

the database sever is in Western Australia

also as I repeat often: Hashrate displayed on site is a best guess average based on shares returned in a rolling 5minute period, we do not however pay on guestimated hashrates, we pay on submitted, counted shares.

On a related note I have now had emails from 2 of our mining node hosts apologising for disruptions over the last week due to the DDOS on spamhaus/cloudflare - hard to fix stuff that is out of our control....but can explain some of the issues we have had with data transfer over the last week....

There is an issue with payouts, we are working to identify it currently

Payouts fixed and a payout run has been done
Namecoin still causes issues, bitparking exchange is down so the auto convert script couldn't run, stopping payouts
apologies for any inconvenience
