There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

11 confirmations and still nothing. I can see from the block explorer that they'd already used my coins for something. So apparently they consider them to be clean. I would like my account credited immediately!

Did you ever get your coins? Seems like mybitcoin is down now. Is this site a scam? Has it been hacked? If anyone knows anything about it please let us know.

Freaking crap. I can't log into any of my accounts at MyBitcoin. I thought I had been hacked at first. But then I made a new account just to be sure. And I couldn't log in with that either. So they are preventing logins, yet the the message is saying invalid password/username. I'm a little bit less worried now, as they could just be doing some sort of of upgrade. Lets just hope it's not something much worse. Most of my coins are in MyBitcoin.
