no GUI wallet , only linux , poor coin.

alpha gui is pinned in the #general channel of slack  Smiley .. http://steem.slack.com ..  auto-inviter -> http://steem.herokuapp.com

too late to release alpha GUI, big part of steem already mined with low difficulty and few persons holding steem supply, now the train moved away..........so i think no one will interest to mine steem.
With current rate and hashing power, an AWS 36 core VPS can earn ~0.2 BTC per day. Perhaps you have no interest in such a low profit.

Pools Of Honor

Hello, everyone, my name is John, i am from Greece. I spent my free time with Crypto since 2013. I own a pretty decent etherum farm 600mhash.
My normal job is a wedding videographer, thus i am all day on a computer editing.
I used to run pools back in the profitable day. www.poolsofhonor.com
Never missed a single payout... and i ve helped a lot of other pools, secure their frontend and backend from Ddos attacks.
I really got in touch through the forum and ccex, and i met Steem. I really got interested
in its concept, and financial problems its trying to solve, through various ways and tactics.
Sometimes i ask noob questions, but i always have the urge to understand everything i am reading... up to the smallest detail.
I can guarantee 99% uptime... I will be using the digital ocean servers, that i can escalate depending on the needs of the network in just a few seconds.
I think my knowledge on pool administration will help me alot, and of course the precious help of other guys here. All my mining farm will be used as seed-nodes cause there is no need for low latency there. (5 in total)
As far as social media is concerned.. i am already using their max potential for my daily job, so that will not be a problem... to promote and help Steem grow healthy.
-- My witness is: steemychicken1
Thanks everyone for accepting and tolerating me here
John
Please cast your vote for my witness account by using the following command: vote_for_witness youraccount steemychicken1 true true

Well I sure as heck am not selling.  This chain represents all the changes Dan Larimer has likely wished he could have made to bitshares in many regards to the economics and voting...So imho this has the potential to be every bit as powerful as bitshares (though in its own way of course).  I guess we shall see, but let's face it---its not like today's counterparts can compete with it in terms of monetizing content creation.

Just another awesome creation from BM and the team.

I don't understand what vests are for. Are you implying a dump is coming?

VESTS are locked STEEM that get voting rights, dilution protection (essentially interest approximately equal to inflation), and can only be withdrawn over a period 104 weekly payments. Something >90% (maybe much higher, I haven't checked recently) of the STEEM supply is locked up in VESTS.

Should we lock up STEEM purchased from Bittrex in VESTS? But if you do you won't get them back for 2 years?

"Over two years" not "for two years". When you transfer from vesting it schedules 104 equal weekly payments. The first is in one week.

As for what you "should" do, you will have to make your own trading and investment decisions.

I think I came close to getting it built on Windows, but ran into a little trouble with my libraries. I am trying again on a fresh vbox today.

Hi all-

I have set up a witness node located in Los Angeles, California that includes DDOS protection, automatic backups, and can easily be scaled up to meet the needs of the network.
Being one of the top public VESTS (Steem Power) holders, I am committed to providing long-term support to the STEEM network and am fortunate enough to have plenty of time to react to updates and other situations as needed. Additional plans to support STEEM will be announced shortly.

Account: nextgencrypto
Seed URL: http://steemwitness.com:2001

To vote in support of my witness, please use the following command: vote_for_witness youraccount nextgencrypto true true

Thank you in advance for your support!
