Bitcoin is not an anonymous currency. It is a pseudonymous currency, as all transactions are detailed on the blockchain.

ZeroCoin would be anonymous, however there are many practical reasons with the implementation of zerocoin.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Keep in mind that Opencoin and Zerocoin technology STILL have an "emergency back door".

I am sure that no government will pressure them to let them in.....

Jump with caution.

zerocoin will quickly be replicated with an open source project i suspect. so long as we have the same techonology that is zero coin except in open source format it can be scrutinized for back doors.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

BTC could be anonymous.

For most of the bitcoiner, it's not necessary for
them to make the transaction to be completely anonymous.
So they won't pay attentions to lots of thing.

If you do some preparations before the transaction,
the tracked details could be useless.   Roll Eyes
