Yes, you need physical internet connection.

I you are solo mining, you need a synchronised wallet, if you're mining in a pool, you need to be connected to the pool to get your work.

would need more details on what machine you are using to mine with. Some are standalone (ie antminer s series) others require a raspberry pi (avalon) and others need a usb hub and a pi (gekko/u3)

yes we need an internet connection.. assume you are mining on a pool, your miner needs to receive and send shares every few seconds with the exact frequency depending on your hashing speed and the difficulty of the shares...

definitely mate you need internet connection
 because you need to sync your mining with the mining pol,
mining would not be recognize if you don't send mining info,.

Before wanting to know something about mining and earning bitcoins, i think that you need to read more about bitcoin and how it works. Internet is basic on all the bitcoin system.
