Contrary to popular mainstream Atheistic rants that religion or specifically Christianity is poisonous to society, I want to argue that Christianity has done and will continue to provide society with many great social positives.

If Christianity has provided society with "many great social positives", it was purely by accident

Most Christians have no idea whatsoever what the bible says (because they didn't bother to read it)

When Christians are asked to agree or disagree with the statement, "Even the smallest sin deserves eternal damnation", only 23% agree and 69% disagree.

The bible actually says all sins are equal:

For whoever shall keep the whole law and shall offend in one point, he has come under the guilt of breaking all.

Judging by the numbers, I would estimate that at most 23% of Christians have read their bible

Out of 34 questions in the survey, no more than 70% of Christians agreed on any single question...  If this was a test, the entire class failed!

Based on the evidence that I have found with regard to the topic at hand, I must affirm the essential question asked of this debate and argue that Christianity is indeed a poison to our society. Before continuing, I would like to define the following key terms:Observation 1: The debates must analyze both the doctrine of Christianity itself based on its core protocol: The Bible. In addition, the debates must also analyze the general beliefs of the people practicing the protocol as well as their practice of Christianity and how it has affected society.
Observation 2: The resolution does not specify a specific society to analyze with regard to the debate at hand. However, because a society can be a broad grouping of people at a global scale and the definition of Christianity also mentions that it is the world's most widespread religion, this thus implies that the debate must analyze the effect of Christianity at a global scale.
Observation 3: The winner of this debate is the one that shows that the amount of advantages of Christianity's effects outweigh their disadvantages.

The only reason for Christianity is to offer believers a resurrection from death to a better life. All the good that it does is to entice people to become believers, so that they can go to Heaven rather than Hell.

Apart from Christianity very other religion believes that there is a supernatural being that exist somewhere.

Why do you believe in Yahweh instead of Zeus or Odin?  Which god (or pantheon of gods) should I worship?

I would agree with this as far as the Western religions go (christianity, islaam, jewish, mormon, etc)

But, the eastern "religions" are more philosophy than mythical beliefs.  Buddhism, for example, teaches a person to look inward for answers rather than blaming everything on some imaginary sky god.  Eastern religions teach that you alone are responsible for your salvation, not some magical fairy in the sky

I'm not saying eastern religions are perfect, but at least they don't go around committing genocide all the time

One of the biggest western religions is belief that the objects of science theory are science fact.

When you scientifically study Christianity, it is found to be way more factual and practical than things like evolution, big bang, and the standard age of the universe... none of which are known to be true or factual.

I personally have no problems with religion, I think for some people it offers some guidance on how to be a positive functioning member of society, its unfortunate when people become too passionate about any form of religion they become extremists. As a non practicing person of any religion. I'm happy to not criticise or judge how others view their existence.
Personally I don't think I will ever be religious... but you know ultimately when somebody is lying on their death bed! they will pray to any god if they think it will offer them any salvation.
