And like what I have learned so far.

Hope to find out all I can regarding Bitcoin

Earning it, Spending it and making it or not  Wink

As I am finding out mining for bitcoin is not worth it

unless I can get free electricity and a powerful system

Rig to do so.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I was thinking it also wasn't quite worth it, if you check out this site: http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ you can get an idea of how much your system as a bitcoin mining machine is worth!

Better to just order some ASIC's in my opinion, $1600 isn't all that much to invest if you have the money. Otherwise you can try to earn via currency exchange or through the various stock exchanges that are set up.

Making Apps and Websites for people. I charge reasonable rates ($30-40/hour in BTC).
