Hello, I'm fairly new to bitcoin and I have a question about wallets and addresses.  A wallet can have multiple addresses, so can someone else tell what addresses go with a wallet?  For example if I have bitcoins in 5 different addresses in the same wallet, I may not want everyone to know that they are all connected.

No , it is not possible , but a user can trace out category of wallet you are using like multi-signature or not.

not unless you send transaction(s) with inputs from different addresses (spend link).

trace? you can tell just by looking at the prefix.

- snip -
can someone else tell what addresses go with a wallet?
- snip -

They can't know for certain unless they are directly involved in the transaction with you (or receive the necessary information form someone that is directly involved in the transaction with).

However, they can make an educated guess, and depending on exactly how you use the wallet, the probability of their guess being correct can be pretty high.

No they cannot know the wallet from your address. You could have generated address somewhere else and imported it or transferred your wallet, so there are no chances that someone can tell your wallet, except for just a guess.

Unless you are using a wallet with a seed, and they know it, absolutely not.
And if they did know your seed, you would have lost all your funds anyways.

It is possible to see on the blockchain if you use all your addresses at once in one transaction.
Basically an educated guess like other people mentioned above.

No. Only your transaction as well end to end bitcoin address can be viewed. Wallet name can't be found.

they can retrieve the other address based on the usage you do with one of them and only if you make at least one public, like in my profile, i have 1A etc...

one could easily rertrieve all the other addresses that i'm using in the same wallet, but if you use multiple wallet, you destroy the connection between the addresses, this is the very anonymous part of bitcoin, many seems to forget about it
