I also am running Gingerbread and unfortunately can't install it, but it looks like the developer is aware and will hopefully retarget:

Yes am going to be working on 2.2+ versions. It requires a bit of messing around with compatibility libraries which I always seem to have issues with my IDE but I do intend go get a version ready in the next few days.

Re: Map on website.

Yes will be doing that shortly the moment I get my javascript-fu sorted. It's not difficult to do but I just want to get it right.
