1% of more than 10,000 BTC is a small fortune.

The forum was founded in 2009 by Satoshi and Sirius. It replaced a SourceForge forum.

If you dont have his status and location, I would presume he is dead or dishonest.   He cant do much in a coma otherwise at least 1 post would appear from his friend or relatives to convey poor health or whatever reason

pe2vk was online since dec 24... i think someone should add more negative trust to john k, and advice the community to not trust even on the staff members.

I did. But shortly after I was removed from "default trust"   :/

Mmm so sad thinks like that happen, well i will try to search him on facebook and this guy appeared, "John Koh" , an asian guy around 15-22, who hasnt been online since dec 6 i think.

I don't know why some peoples are worried about their coins. I know funds are stucked in escrow and some users are getting problems but it's not like he will disappear with your money.
Don't forget he also holds a big amount of BTC for forum. So if theymos is not worried, why you guys are?

No matter if he is not stealing , we dont gain anything if he keeps holding the btcs, its the same that if we dont had anything, what if someone wants to buy something?

I dont know the guy but if he is human then he can get ill like anyone.  If he were deceased then normally the estate would handle his affairs and clear this up.   Not wishing any ill on anyone but regardless of the outcome of this now, if none of that were possible or outlined originally then it was an escrow setup badly.
The argument might be bitcoin is anonymous, it should have been set automatically to resolve like localbitcoin does

He used to have an attorney that acted as his dead man's switch, but maybe that guy got left behind in Malaysia.

To the coinroll raffle winners, stop asking for john k, you dont have to pay for the absent/scam/ missing scrow, the coinroll admins should pay you anyway, they are who have to wait until john k appears to get their refund. their wealth is enough to afford that. with only 2 or 3 medium bankroll players that you have attracted to the site is enough to them to had recovered that 100 btcs.

No wonder I've been seeing an escalation of escrow requests in my inbox. I hadn't noticed that John was away til just today.
