Couldn't http://bitcoin.org/ be used to host a donation supported block explorer tool  Huh

I find myself needing to rely on blockchain explorer constantly but there doesn't seem to be any alternatives.

http://blockexplorer.com/ - doesn't work (at least not for me from a tablet)
http://blockchain.info/ is great, if its down there's no alternative, for me not being able to view the confirmations is like working in the dark. - (it could be me of course that's missing something obvious)

You can host an instance of ABE (Alternative blockexplorer) yourself and since it is opensourced you can also improve it for display on tablets.

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.
