I am looking to buy unused (preferably untouched by oily human hands) Casascius Coins from the Original Series (with the Casacius spelling error) for 2 BTC each.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

At $31+ a BTC, are these still worth 2 BTC each?

Well considering that their face value is 1 BTC, kicking in an extra BTC knowing they're going to be worth even more down the road is incentive.  I'm actually considering parting with mine... but I'm still able to talk myself out of it Smiley

Are you still buying these? I have three unspent and three spent, but they're not in particularly good condition. Also I live in Australia, so postage could be a bit of a bitch.

I've actually bought all the coins I want for now, but may be interested in them at an exceptional price or really good condition. Or after a bit I may be looking to buy more.
