An old time Bitcoin critic ... at it again.   He still doesn't seem to understand the real value of Bitcoin - but sees it as something he can profit from.

Bitcoin Beatdown

2013-02-10

http://daytradeshow.com/theshow/archives/2167

...
I don't see in any way that Bitcoin is a replacement for the dollar. It is a ponzi scheme.
It's not at all any better than the federal reserve system. It's in fact much worse than the federal reserve system in so many ways

...
In fact Ironically.. I could now be scandalously wealthy if I had bought Bitcoins back when I was doing videos when they were like at 1 and 2.
...
So it is a bitcoin beatdown. Absolutely.
Bitcoins have been the investment of the last 3 years. In ways that we might not see ever again.
These sort of percents are astounding. They're incredible.
...
I'm gonna start doing regular Bitcoin commentary. Absolutely. Bitcoins are forreal.
They're not a replacement for the dollar. No No. They don't replace the federal reserve system.
They're not the panacea they're not the magic elixir. But they're the real deal as far as a trading vehicle is concerned.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Such nonsense.. Don't waste your clicks.

The irony I see in this guy's position is that he claims to be taking the 'emotion' out of the equation, yet his stance on Bitcoin, particularly his claims of 'ponzi' appear to be just the usual kneejerk emotional reactions people have to Bitcoin.
He hasn't done a deep analysis - doesn't understand the nature of Bitcoin or its (evolving) feature set and ecosystem - and so is taking a very 1 dimensional view of it.

He does make some sense in the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjlaE1DhiKU&feature=player_detailpage#t=689s

Now that I've heard that, what this looks like to me is someone realizing how unbelievably wrong they were and to save face the only option he saw for himself was to reaffirm his sophistry to his audience but at the same time correct his mistake and start giving this technology credibility.

So he many not be a complete idiot, just a slimy douchebag who realized he was totally wrong and is now trying to keep his audience.

+1 Absolutely sounds like this.

Seems like this Guy has already made another Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MDCYPwk0gM

And now he even has a bitcoin address.

All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update

LOL. His video starts with a child-made hold harmless agreement, which you must agree to before continuing to watch the video.  Roll Eyes He then gives his "technical analysis". (Which is neither)

Its okay, he can just start his own fork called "WhinerCoin" and get in on the ground floor!!

There are equivalents to this, some stocks have leaped from the "pink sheets" to the major exchanges to be traded. So, some people indeed got their investments started for pennies before going to $1 dollar and beyond. I love how everyone conveniently forgets this in the media.

There are parallels to bitcoin in the "real" financial world. Nobody bothers looking for them though, because they're too focused on declaring it a "ponzi".

Idiots.
