Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Likely the ones with an incentive: privacy, percentage of the block rewards, etc.
Still curious too as well.

- You can figure out what will happen, not when /Warren Buffett
- Pay any Bitcoin address privately with a little help of Monero.

Dash has 3586 active masternodes alone, and that's before individual non-masternode nodes are counted.  As far as I know this is the highest number of live nodes for any altcoin.

I've just checked https://bitinfocharts.com/ which backs this up.  Dash is number one, slightly ahead of second placed Litecoin with the number of nodes but Dash is way ahead if you look at actual active nodes.  After Litecoin comes Doge.  Then follow 3 closely together: Peercoin, Namecoin and, surprisingly to me - Reddcoin whatever that is.
