People are selling stellar as there is a lot of fud in the market. I will suggest not to buy the dip but if you are holding stellar then do not sell it. One good news can pump it again. We should always think about the risk and rewards ratio when we invest in altcoins.
I think that in the near future we will see a lot of stellar news, as well as about new projects that are quite promising and will move the stellar platform to a higher level. This year, in November, the Stellar Development Foundation conference was held within the framework of Meridian, where the participants of the discussion voted to support the following projects: InTrip, Meza, Pagas, BlockBill - which will use the Stellar platform. In addition, one must take into account the fact that most of the supported projects are focused on the countries of Asia, Africa and India.

I hope your analysis about Stellar are right but at this moment stellar looks very weak and everyone is dumping XLM. The team should come up with some announcement to regain the trust of the holders. I don't know how far this dumping will go  Huh
Indeed, today the stellar figures are not encouraging and show another price cut. But you also need to take into account that almost the entire 2020 until November, Stellar did not please its holders with good indicators and the price was less than 8 cents. But since November, we have seen another rally and the rate rose to $ 0.21, although today we are again seeing $ 0.12. I agree that the value of the platform primarily depends on the work of the team, but also on the overall performance of the cryptocurrency market. I hope there will be a very strong trend for the altcoin season from the New Year.

The only hope for the stellar is that SEC does not come after them as they are also a "Security". If the stellar survives this (which i think is difficult), then we can see a big pump in its prices in alt season but on the other hand XLM will be RIP after XRP.

XLM and XRP are exactly the same technology. There's no logic that one is the "security" and other is not. XRP guys will cry foul if XLM is not delisted as XRP, and they will right.

Hi there!
I've been out of the game for a few years now. If I recall correctly there was a 10k Lumen/Stellar giveaway or something close to it back in 2016-2017. Does anyone remember how it was hosted? I can't seem to find where I received mine  Roll Eyes

I think it never happened although it was promised.
We got some 1000 or something first and the rest was never given.
Did it happen later on?

I got here to ask the same question  Cheesy

I know it happened because a friend of mine got his. I never spent them, I just have no clue where I might have stored them so trying to figure out if there are any old timers here who might remember where they were first handed out.

No.
They sent a 1000 in 2 different waves when Stellar was launched.
We were supposed to get the other 9000, but by logging into my account, I can see now that that didn't happen.

Well, I've seen his transaction myself and it is 10k. Perhaps that was even earlier then, I don't know. The question isn't how much however, but how they were handed out. I only need to figure out where they were sent or who they were sent from to access them.

If you are talking about giveaway for BTC holders then it has happened. As I remember to be eligible for  it you was needed to prove the ownership of BTC address and provide XLM address for the drop. I have received mine but don't remember how many.

That is article with details of that airdrop as I remember I received mine on that time according my holding and still have into my wallet. Everything written in details about that so take a look there.

Well one was sold (XRP) and the other was given away for free (XLM). That's the big difference I think.
[/quote]

The law suite and delisting's didn't seem to effect XRP as it keeps chugging.  I dont see why there would be much effect on XLM as well

I found my Stellar public key and Private key from back in 2016, however the stellar explorer doesn't recognise it. Are there any suggestions? Thanks

Also does anyone know if you registered your stellar wallet back in January 2016 if there was a bonus given?

This coin has now reached a price point of $.50 and I am a long time holder and seeing it this high is something I have been waiting for.

Article thinks we see another 34% still to come- https://www.fxstreet.com/cryptocurrencies/news/xlm-price-projection-stellar-rally-may-extend-another-34-202104062200

On April 6, the Stellar network failed, some validators disconnected from the network, the Bitfinex exchange announced the suspension of the XLM withdrawal, and the Bitstamp cryptocurrency exchange made a similar decision.

At the moment, the Stellar network is working normally https://status.stellar.org/
