I think, fear of getting older in some way is exaggerated. People, you every single moment are getting older and older, but somehow you realize it only in such moments as now. If aging doesn't worry you most time of your life since you don't think about it, why it should worry you in such parts of your life, when you're thinking about your aging. Moreover, who said that aging is something bad? Maybe it is the only way to become younger, but in another strange sense. I mean, everybody wants to be young, but only few noticed that in old age we somehow are similar to very young. Like Nietzsche said, eternal recurrence of the same.

I'm in my 20's now; it would be nice to get a little older, move out of my parents house and get married; having kids, cause i really love kids then liie by the beach in the sun all day. That would be nice while getting older

I'm not afraid of getting older, what I'm afraid of is when I'm getting older without single money and investment, and also it's inevitable, and everyone grows old sooner or later. That's the cycle of life, and no one has managed to change or stop it yet.

Aging is unavoidable and so as death. But I'm just afraid of looking old, I wish we could still age but not the appearance. I don't want to experience when I get old they tease me for some damn reason.

What is th definition of "old"?
if its just the age, then age is just a number. Time is not in anyone's control so why even think about it.
if by old u mean generation, then i try to keep up with current technology and all. I hav kept my mind inquisitiv enough, so im not afraid of gettin old.

What happens when u get old. It is quite obvious u will die. And the same consequence is of your afraid to get old. And one thing I wanna ask you is what will u do exsisting these many years in this stupid world. |

Yeah, this was pinnacle to my one true realization of getting older. I spent my late teens and my 20s in the military. The only relevant part of this bit of information is that I was always treated like a child. No matter what my rank, there was always someone over me to make me feel as if I had no control over anything. When I got out, I didnt feel 30 mentally, I felt 30 physically but my mentality was not there. I moved away from my parents a while ago and only get to see them once every two years or so and its these visits that really make me realize how old I actually am. But I don't hate being older. I am as successful as I let myself be. I graduated college and became a teacher. Got married and had kids. At this point in my life I dont focus my age but on the age of my children. Watching them grow and learn is where its really at. |

So funny, when i was a child i really want to grow up and do what other grown ups do. But now im a grown up now, i want get get back in my childhood days when your just playing and nothing to worry, just eat, sleep and play.

if you talk with the elderly they say that it just gets better and better, but after the age of 80 or if you becoming ill, it's not funny anymore.
