I've always been interested in what people think when they hear of Serbia. So, what's the first thing that comes to your mind when you think/hear of Serbia?

when we hear of Serbia, the first thing that strikes our mind is that the people there are in lot of pain and trouble because of the on- going war there.
It should be stopped and matters  should be sorted out on the Peace table.

A cartoonist called Joe Sacco who published a comic book about his stay in Serbia, a harrowing read. For some reason the comic form makes his stories very realistic, a lot of seriously fucked up stuff has happened there over the years.

That's entirely untrue, after the Battle of Kosovo, Serbs became Ottoman vassals and fought against the western world

In Battle of Nicopolis, Serbs fought alongside the Turks, and the win they won fighting for the invader, the occupator

Not only allowed the Ottomans to tighten their control over the Balkans, but they also ended the Christian , 2nd Bulgarian empire!
After Battle of Nicopolis, Ottomans became a threat to Central Europe

So they pretty much contributed to islamization lol

If this didn't happen, perhaps today people in Bosnia would still be Christian, not to say

To be honest I do not have any idea about Serbia or what comes to my mind.  I have watched a documentary before and it is like a happy place.  Pub were placed on the river, a good place to ski.  And people were very warm and fun.

Serbia, is in southern Europe, with warm people specially towards foreigners, a rich and beautiful  country and with hospitable welcoming people, some of there tourist destination site was remarkable.

My Wife is Greek so I just think if Serbia as a neighbor and that has a similar religion to Greeks, Orthodoxy. I also think of the old war as well a few years back.

I havent been to serbia but ill visit there. Ive a serbian friend who is very smart,friendly,kind and invites me to see the beauty of his country. I dont mind the weather he mentioned a good night life there im curious tho

Yes I agree that it is an incredible country just like any other country here on Earth.  The fact that war runs through it and it seems the word war is always associated by it, it means that it is really a country that have adorable people.  They are being manipulated.  I know a friend from Serbia and she was indeed so pretty.  I like her hair and skin color plus her curves.  You will not see a person that came from a country that full of tears.  They are very generous and loves peace.

I havent been to serbia too but all over from news we always heard the war, killings , bombing and etc about that country all of the negative facts is what we hear but we havent see the real beauty of serbia and im pretty sure the serbia has a beautiful places and warm people out there

When i heard that word Serbia the first thing that will come up into my mind is war.
It is very dangerous to live a place without a peace of mind. You always felt of fear and afraid to die with nothing but in terrorist hands.
