Existence of Homeland Security Bitcoin Task Force confirmed
An affidavit of a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations who tracked down one of the largest Silk Road vendors reveals the existence of a special task force focused on bitcoin-related crimes.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I am not surprised by this and this could be a good thing bringing more legitimacy to the coin. Perhaps they will find on their task force that just as much illegal activities take place with USD cash and other currencies.
