Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Just putting that there until the question is resolved, as this bar seems to be GOLD's property. Probably just a mistake?

CRAP! Well, that looks really bad. Doesn't it!

I sincerely apologize. I obviously can't sell that one. I have several bars and I must have mixed them up at some point. I am removing this item from sale until things are straightened out.

No problem it's a common mistake, from what I hear banks make this mistake all the time  Cheesy

...just kidding... Seriously though, I suspected it was an honest mistake just like that. In a case like this, the worst that could happen is you just back it with a different bar. This just goes to show one of gold's beauties; it's fungible. I actually made the same mistake with some silver just a couple of days ago.

I'm still curious as to what exactly occurred here.

Successful trades with bels, misterbigg, ChrisNelson, shackleford, geniusboy91, and Isokivi.

There was a mix-up. I accidentally tried to sell a bar that wasn't mine. I was selling B052203, when I should have been selling B041851. The details are here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133556.msg1519371#msg1519371
