Hello, i have two rigs: 1. rig with 5 RX 480 8 GB sapphire nitro OC and today i add one 470 8gb. I make 177 mh, consuption is around 940 w/h( before it was 800w without rx470) 2. rig with 6 sapphire rx470 8 GB nitro OC with anoraks mode bios, i make 164 MHash, but consuption is around 920w/h, which is high if i compere with rig 1. Do you think i can get less power for same hasrate?I mine only ethereum. I was looking on web page what to mine, but there is less power needed for a little less MH. any advice? any custom rom suggestion, which is more power friendly thank you for help Ive got rig with 6 giga rx470 4 gb . 168 Mhz Eth only . 1195/2000 clocks, -95 mV AB settings. 860 Watt from the wall. so i did a little testing yesterday, and i come to 169/170 MH with 6 rx 470 8gb, with around 770w at the wall. i used bios, which i found on the net, then i higher the memory clock to 2050(somewhere i saw, that i can get to 2100, but card was not stable at all, freezes, so i put 2050, and it is stable for 10hours), on trixx i lower voltege for -150mV, so in the end gpuz show 0.9V per card. which is much better then before (940w), but i think i can get a little more wattega down. with rx 480,which are at 1126/2150 is a little harder to lower voltage, but i came to 0.9V per card on GPUZ. all together i got 830w at the wall and around 179MH. today i will try to get better result today with some micro setting. we will see. (i need to,becouse my electric bill suprised me a little :S). thank you all for help. i will also try to get better result, but i am totatly noobb on that (but i am learning, hehe). also, i used claymore 7.4 until esterday. with 9.0 i get a little better result with rx 480, which are mining over 30 MH at DCR 10. (at defoult i got less mh). What dcr are you using, if you are mining only ethereum? Do you use modded bios for 480 aswell? I cant get mine over 26MHs with 1300CC and 2200MC... tnx yes, i have moded bios, Gpu clock 1126 and memory clock 2150.

Anyone have an experience with MSI Gaming Intel B250 LGA 1151,
I can get it to recognize 4 GPUS, but thats it. On it's viewer in the Bios is see's the others as plugged in, but in Windows I can't get them to be recognized.
MSI B250 boards need Windows 10 to be installed on disk with GPT boot sector not the standard MBR. Otherwise you just get a blank screen. The bios needs to be adjusted in Advanced\PCI Subsystem Settings: "PEG0 - Max Link Speed" = PCIE 2.0 "Above 4GB memory/Crypto Currency mining" = Enabled I don't just get a blank screen though. It works with 3, I said 4 before but apparently that was just a 1 time fluke. I've tried the Gen 2 and Above 4gb memory and neither of them fix it either. 4 cards work without any settings 5+ cards need the bios settings and windows with GPT

After installing the creator update for Windows 10, i get the message “ethdcrminer64.exe has stopped working“. In the details it's called “bex64“ error. Anybody out there with similar problems or ideas how to solve this? The regular ethminer.exe is still working. Sgminer is also working as usual. Any hints are appreciated!

What made you to install it in the first place? Hint: uninstall it.

And cannot be closed.
Not even end task in task bar would be able to close it.
Only in 1 rig and only for claymore run through multipoolhubminer
What happen is multipoolhubminer will try to open another claymore with the same problem
It basically stuck at the initial stage
Restarting the rig works.
But kind of a pain. Also if it happens in the middle of the night I am screwed.
It's always at the initial stage. Happens very rarely. However, the way multipoolhub did is that it sometimes restart the whole thing.
I am using 16.9.1 because it's the only driver that doesn't require bios check.
- use DDU to uninstall 16.9.1 - install 16.11.5 - install Claymore 9.0, use -asm 0 first - do not overlclock - match the required power with no more than 80% of the limit of your PSU - do not use multipoolhub Once stable you can mod parameters one by one It rarely happens though. So 16.11.5 That means bios check. I got to bypass signature check. I forget how to do so. But I think I can do that. Are you sure this is the issue? Anyone else have similar problem with I do? Man, you provided info and asked for advice. It was given. Try it before questioning integrity. At least try to google for a minute... Thanks for the advice. May I know who you are? I mean are you familiar with claymore, and stuff? Of course. This is my pleasure and social responsibility to answer your every question. I like when people call me simply "the boss". I have earned that title after I read every single post in this thread. No one has done it before me. Most people give up after a few pages. Am I familiar with Claymore? yes and no. Our life passes had gone in different direction long time ago. We are not close friends. It is simply business. I pay him for his work. In return I get access to his products as soon as they released. I am also notified about roadmap and work in progress. On the other hand I do test and give him a feedback when needed. Often it is just a compliment as his work is usually great.

Serious accusation without a proof. Give us a real case - parameters and screenshots - let's say without asm mode first. There is a chance that you are wrong but there is also a chance that you are doing something incorrectly.

I know this isn't very helpful if you already have a system running Windows 10 but honestly - from all the stuff I have read all over these and other forums, and from my own experience and that of a few of my friends.... Windows 10 is just a minefield of problems as a platform for a mining rig. I believe that if you must use Windows (Linux is the best solution if you can understand it and use it properly) then Windows 8.1 seems to be the best option. It has almost all of the modern features that Win10 has, but none (or much less) of the annoying forced updates and inbuilt data mining/surveillance crap. The amount of things that Windows 10 does in the background or at random times which consume large amounts of system resources - without your control annoys the crap out of me. Not to mention how often I come home and my Windows 10 machine (a mostly non mining gaming & htpc machine) has just rebooted itself after an update without asking me or warning me. That is not a reliable and stable OS - it's a social media and entertainment platform on the surface and a data mining and "advertizing customer collector" underneath. Fuck Windows 10. I recently built a new rig based on Nvidia cards (1070 and 2 1060s) and I am very glad I still had the ability to install Win8.1 on to this rig. The only reason I used Windows at all was because I don't really know anything about using Nvidia GPUs for mining in Linux. My other rig is Linux based with AMD GPUs and is so stable I almost never even have to look at it - it "just works".

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL
I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

You can turn off the auto-update in Windows 10. I understand the Linux fanboy stance, but it has it's own problems too, such as shit graphics drivers. I wish Claymore would write his own drivers just for mining rigs.

I would not be opposed to using Linux but honestly before this update have never had a single issue using Windows 10 and have actually seen better hashrates using W10 vs Linux. Now stability may be an issue with W10 but in my experience only when GPU is oveclocked too much which would be the case with Linux also. I'm just hoping this gets some wind and an update is realease soon.

Which is the best ethereum pool for Claymore, i use coinotron, but my hash rate fluctuates too much, and my ethereum count on coinotron is slow compared to gnoil for example. Is it normal, i do prefer Claymore is the best, but my minining rate is slo with it, maybe is the pool?
Thanks
Best Pools: For <500Mhs is ethermine.org can set the payout For >500Mhs is ethanol.org ethpool.org cannot set the payout, but gives uncles occasionally Good Luck! Did you actually mean ethpool.org? Yes, sorry typo: It should read ethpool.org. Thanks for the catch!
