@claymore : Is it possible to use your miner on miningrigrentals?  if so could you help with the options.  I've tried multiple qtminer combinations, but so far nothing works.  according to miningrigrentals, they have a qtminer example that shows :  qtminer -s us-west01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 -u username.rignumber -G

Love all the work you've done on this miner.  Thanks!!!

I read this: https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/hashimotog
....
This algo is typically used to mine Ethereum. This section is for the GETWORK miner and related pools only. Typically this is ethminer. Attempting to use rigs from this section with stratum based pools will fail.
....

So it seems they don't support stratum, I cannot find page with your sample about qtminer.
They haven't updated their faq about the stratum side.  When you setup a Dagger-Hashimoto(S) rig, in the properties block of the rig they give an example of a qtminer command line.  That is the only place I have found an example for their stratum based dagger-hashimoto rigs.

You can PM me log file and I will check how many shares miner submitted.
Hi Claymore, thnx for your miner, its worth every penny that we pay you, for using it.
A few weeks ago, you said, that once the miner becomes a stable version, you will port it to linux...
Is it possible, now?
Because atleast 10% of all the miners, are using linux.

I'm working on solo mode, monitoring/management utility and linux version. Not sure what will be released first, perhaps I will have linux version in 1-2 days (assuming v4.1 is stable).

Thnx, linux version would be great, for linux people like me.
We will be waiting.

Guys, it's a good idea to read OP or readme.
froilan_rivero - Expanse is supported, search "Ethereum forks mining" string in readme or OP.
Doramha - Read "FAILOVER" section: "Every pool has 3 connection attempts."

This is definately the best miner around thank you so much. Smiley Grin

Claymore, Will it work in dual mode? EXP+DCR?

if qtminer is supported, my miner will work too:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us-west01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 -ewal username.rignumber -epsw x -esm 1 -allpools 1
If it does not work, read the log for details about error.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Received unknown response:

try "-esm 2" option. Or better use different pool that has some help page that mentions what proxy mode should be used so you can understand what "-esm" mode must be used. Because at the moment there are three stratum modes/proxies and it's a good idea to mention on help page what stratum proxy must be used.

I'm trying to mine at ethermine.org. All works except two things (tested on both 4.0 beta and 4.1):
- Sometimes ethermine reports doubled "Reported hashrate" for the account, but always correct hashrate for the rig (just one rig used).
- With -esm 0 or -esm 1 it still does not show stats "Shares (Invalid / Valid / %)". All are always 0.

Command line:
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -ewal 0xWALLET -epsw x -eworker rig01 -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -esm 1

What can be wrong?

Have you tried this? Wait at least 30 mins to see stats.

EthDcrMiner64.exe -ewal 0xWALLET.rig01 -epsw x -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -esm 1

It works but the same way. Here is how it looks like:

qtminer updates share stats every 5 minutes (of course, not qtminer but the pool when mined with qtminer)

Things had been going too well on version 3.2 so I just watched 3.3 and 4.0 roll by.
Set up my crate and installed fourth card in last evening. Ran on 3.2 until late this afternoon.

Downloaded 4.1 stable and ran as is with no changes to the 3.2 bat settings for eth only.
Wow. Shocked.... that dang dag file builds fast now.....just a tad slower on Mh's though.
Then I remembered that this version is -ethi 8, added -ethi 16 to batch file.

Now it's a tick faster.  Grin

Temps are still stable and cool even on the display card in the case. (to get to the pci-e slots for the risers it has to be in the bottom slot just above the power supply. seasonic gold X 850.
All four cards mining...pulling 580 watts according to Mr Killowatt.

I'm going to think about some tweaks now.

1- MSI - HD7850 2Gb Twin Frozer - Display card and mining
1- Asus - R9 270X 2 GB
2 - MSI - R9 270X 4 GB

putting out 53.2~53.4 mH - zero rejects
Not the fastest or fanciest cards in the world but the prices were right.
I already had the HD 7850 from four I owned 2 years ago.

Thank you Claymore for putting this out and staying on top of its development... all the time fielding all the seemingly endless noob balls.
It's been fun getting back to my GPU mining roots.   Cool

Didn't even notice that, thanks for the tip, saw a tad bid more speed out of this note.

8 vs 16 not much difference in hash, but at 8 work is much more responsive Wink
9 is probably best.

This may be a little sophmoric for this discussion about the attributes of Claymore's Dual Purpose Miner, but here goes: Currently using linux for ETH mining. Should I load Windows to an 16gb SSD and boot off, then download the DP miner? Or maybe can I just boot Windows off of an 1TB HDD that I own already, add DP miner then proceed? Don't know if using the HDD to would affect performance making it not worth?

Hi Claymore, you get the fee only from ETH, not 1% ETH and 1% DCR in dual mining mode, right?
Your fee is time based, 60 minutes mining for owner, and 1.2 minutes mining for you?
This may be explanation for lower ETH hash (shares) for the surveillance people Smiley

Well you might be doing somthing wrong then. I have noticed gains in ETH only mining and even with 1% fee and 1 or 2% fee in pool the extra hash and extra shares are covering the fees and more. I was down to about maybe 0.88 to 0.9 ETH a day on one unit and with this am back into the nice 1.5 to 2ETH a day on one me rigs so am happy and thats taken the fees out and exchange. With normal miner seems loss.

Hello!
I need some help, I am mining eth for a month now but not on stratum can someone share some links on what i need and how to use stratum because I see that i can get a better hashrate this way.. and then if I can make it work I can try the Eth+Dcr.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate IT!

I've been mining Ethereum over @ Ethpool and DCR via Coinmine/Suprnova which both support stratum.  Simply replace your current pools in your .bat file unless you can confirm they already do support the stratum protocol and you're good to go buddy!

ETH=  us1.ethpool.org:3333

DCR=  stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:2252
I am mining with getwork not stratum. I don't need to install anything else for switching to stratum mode?

That is correct
Found suitable OpenCL device [Tahiti] with 3221225472 bytes of GPU memory
miner  02:42:49|main  Getting work package...
X  02:42:50|main  Failed to submit hashrate.
  X  02:42:50|main  Dynamic exception type: class jsonrpc::JsonRpcException
std::exception::what: Exception -32003 : Client connector error: libcurl error:
7 -> Could not connect to http://eu1.nanopool.org:9999/0x...
JSON-RPC problem. Probably couldn't connect. Retrying in 1...

Don't i need to install eth-proxy or need it don't really know that's why i asked for help

lol configurations are exactly the same. And the fee you refer to is 1% on both.

This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 1% for Ethereum-only mining mode (-mode 1) and 2% for Ethereum+Decred mining mode (-mode 0), every hour the miner mines for 36 or 72 seconds for developer.
Decred is mined without developer fee.

This may be a little sophmoric for this discussion about the attributes of Claymore's Dual Purpose Miner, but here goes: Currently using linux for ETH mining. Don't know if using the HDD to would affect performance making it not worth?

Since v4, hard-drive isn't even used to store the DAG, and even when it was, disk speed didn't really matter.

I would guess that 16GB would probably be too small for Windows.

lol configurations are exactly the same. And the fee you refer to is 1% on both.

You realize that says 2% fee only applies to Ethereum, right?  There is no devfee for decred mining.
