What's the latest drivers from AMD we can use with 10.5, are we still stuck with blockchain drivers?Huh?

The latest adrenalin drivers work fine for me, but I don't use any of the temp or voltage controls in the miner so YMMV.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Huh weird thing happened today morning and im still trying to figure it out.

My GPU Hashrate drop from 30.2 -> 21.1 while mining ETHEREUM, however, when i tried to switch on MUSICOIN or UBIQ my hashrate is at 30.2.

any idea what could be the cause? Roll Eyes

i only OC i don't mess with anything else. the voltage i flashed in bios, i only want to control the OC with afterburner.

thanks claymore!

shows 44 Mh/s on Vega64 and 37 Mh/s on 1080 Ti, hopefully number of submitted shares shows a similar increase

ethminer seems to run a bit faster on the 1080 Ti, any chance you could integrate those improvements? might be from cuda-9 code.

Reported:
minervega 641080 ticombined
ethminer423880
claymore443781

Will report back on accepted share rate after 24 hours.

ethminer gives me ~ 56.16 shares per hour
claymore gives me ~ 55.64 shares per hour

claymore reports a higher hash rate but im seeing less shares per hour, even with the 1% dev fee, theres something off. for now im switching back to ethminer.

lol

Set -dcri to 5 , 10 or 15 max even when solo mining Wink

Claymore never thinks of writing on screen the Mining difficulty of share found.... even if he is calculating and comparing it to the pool accepted difficulty before sending the share to the pool.

Guys, need some help:
Started to building a 6 GPU rig (RX580 Sapphire Pulse 4gb Elpida).
Flashed every card one by one.

When I'm at 3 cards, msi afterburner works normal, but when I plug the 4th card, msi afterburner dies (check the picture).
How can I fix this?

If that doesn't work, is there a way in AMD Radeon settings to load custom profile on every boot? I modded clock, saved the profile but after fresh boot the clocks reset to default.

Pls advise, many thanks!

Guys how do minimise the no of stale shares...i grt aroumd 5 to 10% every 10 min...i m mining on ethermine..apart from tht evrytyn s working fine...

The 4 Billion share difficulty that Ethermine uses is too low for the 15 second block times since the Byzantium fork. I switched to Nanopool that uses a 10 Billion share difficulty and my estimated hashrate on Nanopool is much closer to my reported hash rate.

If you want to use the compute drivers, Afterburner will not work with AMD Crimson 17.11.xx or 17.12.xx drivers and multiple cards. Either use the Claymore config file to apply the overclock and undervolt settings at runtime, or use OverNdrive tool to create overclocking profiles for your cards as explained on www.mining.help.

If you want to use Afterburner with multiple cards you need to use the AMD blockchain drivers and you are limited to 8 AMD cards.

Thank you sir!

So if my line now is
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:XXXX -ewal z0n0.XXX -epsw XXX -esm 2 -allpools 1
and I want to use same clocks (1120 core / 2000 mem / 930 mv) on every card, my line should look like:
Code:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -cclock 1120 -mclock 2000 -cvddc 930 -mvddc 930 -epool europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:XXXX -ewal z0n0.XXX -epsw XXX -esm 2 -allpools 1

After than I don't have to play with afterburner / amd radeon settings?

Yes. You can also set the power limit and fan/temp limit with the Claymore parameters.

Yes. You can also set the power limit and fan/temp limit with the Claymore parameters.

Should these two values be the same or one should be lower/higher?
-cvddc 930 -mvddc 930

That will undervolt the cards without touching afterburner/amd settings, right?

Thanks again!!

I leave the memory undervolt the same as the core undervolt. The memory undervolt dosen't save much power anyway, but it should help the VRAM run cooler. 850-950 mV are good values for most RX 580's.

Used August AMD released blockchain drivers fine until this morning, when I woke up, Claymore still mining, but my undervolt on RX580s was rendered useless.  I'm mining at "TOP" wattage.  I've uninstalled using DDUninstaller, reinstalled the blockchain drivers again, without installing AMD settings, fearing that Wattman may conflict with Claymore cvddc, mvddc.  Up to now, still doesn't undervolt.  It was still working very well last night.  What should I do?

ASUS Mining P106-100 6g cards are giving me headache. Cards worked fine for couple months until two weeks ago when it started. First I change only the risers, after that tried different driver with that I got "GpuMiner cu_k1 failed 4, unspecified launch failure" error. Default clock setings don't work neither. Updated the miner to latest version but problem remaines. "-tt 0" no change. Every time the miner starts its all good for cople of minutes, some time even an hour but then it crash. Any sugestion? Thanks

Guys,

Sorry to bring the bad news, but dual miner might be over in a few months.

Asic miners on the market are now spiking up the difficulty for LBC/DCR/PASC/SIA

Baikal Giant-B - Blake256R14/Blake256R8/Blake2B/Lbry/Pascal
https://www.baikalminer.com/product10.php

Antminer A3 - SIA
https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020180116164357365a2ljX8gx06D3

Dual mining maybe gone soon as GPUs cant compete with ASICs, you have have noticed rewards and payouts and difficulty and spike lately, Devs of claymore may need to reduce their fees. to help in a few months.

Those are going to be some expensive and non too sexy paperweights in a couple of months. Going ASIC on coins with this low prices will limit availability and hurt the overall project.

Has the 'remote replace wallet address' vulnerability been fixed?
This article leads me to believe that only v8.1 - v10.0 is safe from this vulnurability.

Hi,
I'm new here, I don't know if other have this problem.
Mining just ethereum work great, really stable for days at fast rate.
Dual with lbry make the rig crash/reboot every 2-5 minutes or so... max I got was 17 minutes
I also re-flash with original bios, without OC and it's still rebooting...
my rig:
-win 10
-Biostar Motherboard TB250-BTC Core
-4x sapphire nitro+ rx 570 8gb samsung
-2x sapphire nitro+ rx 570 8gb hynix
-4gb ram
-120G ssd
-virtual memory 20-60gb (I know it's excessive)

one thing I found interresting is when claymore dual is used by nicehash, the computer doesn't reboot.
I also tried the -ethi 2 option without change.
tried 10.0 10.3 and 10.4

I tried for many hours, but I'll mine just ethereum untill it's stable for me.
I can try things if you want. Will sure try the next version. But want to informe you in case it help.

here the last part of logfile...
thank you!

Did you ever solve this?  I have 4 rigs running similar Sapphire 570 8g cards, (2X6) with Hynix, (1X6) with Micron, and (1X6) with Samsung, only the Samsung cards run stable and the other three are incredibly unstable.  I have purchased some new riser cards just to make sure I didn't get a bad batch.  I have tried every setting and bios change under the sun and can't get them stable.  They just hang in open cl and reset.  Never seen this in any of my other rigs, just on the Sapphire 570 8g cards.  I am beginning to believe it is just a lousy batch of cards.  I'll let you know if the risers make any difference.

Hi, are you talking about dual-mining? or is it unstable with ethereum only too? My 2 rigs (1-6xsamsung and 1-2hynix+4samsung) are really stable with ethereum only. I have put the "-asm 2" option, and I think it help. (It sure increase a bit the hashrate). What is your OC, I'm unable to oc a lot on these, but I'm satisfied with approx:29.6 mh. in dual mining, it's more stable for me with less OC, so I accept at the moment a drop of around 1mh in ethereum to dual-mine... Let me know if you need more info on my setup, if my hashrate is interresting for you. Happy mining!

Antminer A3 - SIA

Dual mining maybe gone soon as GPUs cant compete with ASICs, you have have noticed rewards and payouts and difficulty and spike lately, Devs of claymore may need to reduce their fees. to help in a few months.

ETH asic also announced, release in coming weeks.
