According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Nice job Claymore this version performs the same as you're competition.   Seems very stable like 11.0
You still have me with the duel mining.  I just hope the bitmain eth ascis are just a rumor. Lips sealed

According to my math dual mining ETH/DCR, the decred pays for the power for that card.  Grin Grin Grin

v11.3:

- added automatic detection of best -dcri values in ASM ETH-only mode if -dcri option is missed.
Press "s" key to see current values, you can also press "z" key to restart detection.
- improved support for systems with many GPUs (eight and more) and slow CPU: much less CPU load, EthMan works fine now.
- added assembler kernel for RX550 card. This card is not good for dual mining, but in ETH-only mode ASM kernel is faster by about 7%.
- added "x" key to select GPU for manual -dcri value adjustment.
- several minor bug fixes and improvements.

Confirm on v11.3 EthMan is now working correctly with a Core i3-6100 and 13 RX 580 8GB cards. CPU utilization when down from ~35% to ~8%. I Also got a ~1 MH/s ETH and ~7 MH/s KEC speed bump dual mining from v11.2 with the Adrenaline 18.3.1 drivers. Thank you for the update!

Hi,

Can you share your mod for RX580 cards?

Thank you! Smiley

You need to find the best settings for your own cards and memory type. My cards are a mix of Asus RX 580/480 with Samsung memory (first three with 2050 MHz memory overclock), Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580's with Samsung memory (2100 MHz memory overclock), Hynix memory (2200 MHz memory oveclock) and a MSI Gaming X RX 580 with Samsung memory (last card with a 2050 MHz memory overclock).

Code:
-cclock 1200,1150,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200,1200
-mclock 2050,2050,2050,2200,2100,2100,2100,2220,2220,2220,2100,2220,2050
-powlim -10,-5,-10,-15,-10,-15,-10,-10,-5,-10,-10,-10,-10
-cvddc 950,950,950,850,900,850,850,900,900,900,850,900,900
-mvddc 950,950,950,850,900,850,850,900,900,900,850,900,900

I'd say that largely depends on the maker of your cards and the memory brand being used. you will find a good source of VBIOS mods and the necessary tools for many cards over at anorak.tech

For example I have 10 sapphire nitro+ SE RX580 SE 8GB which perform at around 31 mh/s each (Hynix and Micron memory) and 3 MSI ARMOR OC RX580 8GB at 28.8 mh/s (Hynix). Rig performs at 398 mh/s on ETH.

But, aren't you a bit late to the show bearing in mind that mining income is dwindling?

I understand that automatic dcri is only for eth solo mode. For dual mining mode dcri value 30 is only default value not the best value.

You are correct. -dcri values are detected automatically only for AMD cards in ASM ETH-only mode. For dual mode it is always 30 if you did not specify "-dcri" option directly.

Claymore, does automatic detection of best -dcri values occur only on miner initialization or it is happen during miner work in some time intervals?

Have you tried bumping the clock to 1220 or 1225 on the 2220 mhz ram cards?  I find a ratio of 1.81 works best but like you said that depends on the card. From my limited testing that ratio seems optimal.

What GPU memory size should be to have same hashrate as with altcoins?
My nvidia 3gb cards mine ETH just fine and will continue to do so for about another 12 months (using them in secondary slots in Ubuntu which doesn't allocate ram to other purposes).

For amd cards there was once an issue but driver updates fixed it. You need to install latest drivers and turn them too compute mode. If you do that the ETH rate is comparable to alt coins. But the driver is not available for really old cards or appears. I have an R9 390 that mines 29.3 in ETH and 29.5 in expanse, for RX series there is typically no noticeable difference.

Hey everyone,

I am attempting to use the ETH miner v11.3 with NVIDIA V100 GPUs, however I keep getting the following error:

Code:
GPU 0, GpuMiner cu_kd failed 8 (0), invalid device function
GPU 0, Calc DAG failed!

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and I've tried with both CUDA 9.0 and 9.1

@Claymore, would you please advise?
How do I get this to work? to my understanding, v11 of the miner is supposed to support CUDA 9.1.

Thanks.

Hi,

i think the ASICs are at this moment not a big deal.

As i know, the announced ASICs has a similar Price per Hash ratio as a GPU mining rig and a similar energy consumption...

There are no ETH ASIC announced. The Bitmain ETH ASIC is just a scantly detailed rumor from a Chinese website that had no details on hash rate and no release date other than potentially "Q2 or Q3 2018".

I have indeed but then the temp of my cards goes beyond 70C which I don't feel comfortable with as it may affect durability...

The settings in overdriventool or MSI afterburner also depend on the modifications made on the VBIOS level.

I have a six 470 rig, modded BIOS with Claymore 11.2 and the following config:

-dcri 1
-cclock 1240
-mclock 2200
-cvddc 950
-tt 72
-fanmin 50
-fanmax 90

Does anyone know why I'm getting about 27MH/s for the 5 GPUs and 32MH/s for 1 of them?
The GPUs are identical and bought on the same batch.

Nevermind, upgraded to 11.3 with auto dcri; getting about 32MH/s per card; auto dcri works perfectly taking the guesswork out.

Great job @claymore !

Hello,

i am mining with claymoreminer ETH only, mining works fine but i do not receive the ETH in my wallet.

Do you see any mistakes here?
